For throat hit and versatility I would have to say the Prodigy. The GG is as good but I personally don't like the position of the button as well. Here's the list if that helps:

The Big Seven in Long Battery Life Manual Switch PV’s:

Screwdriver: ecigscrewdriver.com
The Black Screwdriver Kit / Totally Wicked eLiquid / Electronic Cigarette e-liquid shop
Prodigy: PureSmoker.com - Home of the USA Built PV !!!
GG: http://www.smokejuice.co.uk/
JantyStick: Janty USA
LV/ZiMoshi:Personal Vaporizers : Hardass Vapor Shop
Super T: Super T, Innovative manufacturer of Personal Vaporizer products.
AdapteverR: AdapteveR Home of the ORIGINAL USA built PV : Home

Other than the Silver Bullite which I have not tried or seen reviewed yet.

I have seen a few different mods sold for the battery.
THe Janty Stick
The Silver Bullet
The Prodigy

Maybe there is more I am unaware of?

Will the people that have these, and have used please help me decide which one I should try?
If the mod users out there, could direct me on which one to get, that would be great. I want the best strength, out there, for the best price.

Ive watched plenty of reviews, I want to see what the consensus is.
If you dont like typing, just put 1 for Janty stick, 2 for SIlver Bullet, and 3 for Prodigy. By, the way, I can't seem to locate where to find the prodigy anywhere, searching for clips, but not turning up.

Thanks in advance.

I've been doing the same research though not as price restricted. My smoking background and wish list is near identical to yours. I even smoked menthols. However, while I do want throat hit, I never want to cough again.

Speaking of coughing; because it was on sale, just for fun I bought some "French Pipe" liquid with my 901. I don't like smoking it in the daytime but it stands up well to single malts at night and it does make me cough a bit.

The only unit I've seen for less than $100US is a special on the new 901 unit from vaprlife.com. I like its small size and ergonomics but it won't do 6V.

I have some concern about doing 6V. I don't think the atomizers are designed for it. I would expect it to shorten their life. Will someone confirm?

Also, while all the mods or battery cases do 3.7V and most do 6, what do the standard batteries in the Chinese sourced e-cigs put out? The instruction sheet that came with my 901 was a joke and had no specs.

Vaporich; have you found a menthol that actually tastes like a menthol analog? The ones I ordered with my 901 are useless.

One more random thought: If you win the lottery before you hit PayPal you may want to look at the new GG Transformer. With adaptors, does just about anything but it costs near 200US. Its the only one whose looks don't make me cringe. It appears to be somewhat controversial here. Many men resent the price while a lot of women love it. Maybe its the vibrator option;-)

The Prodigy is 5 volts and works with 901, 801, 510 and 401 atomizers. This sounds like what you are looking for. I lost some 901 atomizers to it but the 801's have been holding up pretty well. It is probably the best throat hit of any PV made other than possibly the GG.

Thanks. I should probably buy one. However, I'm an industrial designer. To my eyes it looks like an electric toothbrush made by a communist era Eastern European country. It has the button where it probably should be but I just couldn't live with it.

5v+ does have a learning curve. You will lose a few atomizers while you figure out how to use the device. You cannot chain vape on these things as you will overheat and overstress the atomizer heating coil. They will provide superior vapor production and throat hit, though. If throat hit and massive vapor is your goal, and you do not want to bother with a DIY project, these things rock.

Typical e-cig batteries output around 3.7-4.2 volts. Most of the battery packs mentioned in this thread can run at this voltage, but for a much longer time than a screw-in battery. These devices improve upon throat hit and vapor production with the manual buttons. The buttons allow you to control how long the atomizer fires. If throat hit is not important to you, just run them at the lower voltage

That is funny. I think it looks like a 1930's era cannister vacuum cleaner.

Yes, form factor and appearance are very important personal decisions to make when choosing a commercial battery packs.

With all adapters, and gold endcaps and shipping, and the euro to USD conversion, my cost was 300. That was just to get in on the first 40 though. No idea what Ikenmoke is going to sell them for when they start coming in quantity.

Zofryer, have u tried the ATmos, copper one, sounds like good price. Not to concerned on looks, Ill probably only use it at home anyway. what model are u doing the review on soon?
For the menthol.
I have mixed 36mg. mint with flue cured and it tastes pretty darn good.
Today, i mixed my first batch of menthol crystals.
one teaspoon crused m. crystals, added it to 20ml. of Vegtable glycerin, add a splash of water, then microwaved for 7 seconds, turned out really nice.
i was told, 1 drop per ml. is like a light salem, 2 drops per ml. is like a salem reg. and 3 drops per ml. is like a kool reg. analog. I used the 3 drops per ml. It really adds, and tastes great, but I could use it stronger, thats just me, i like it strong.
Next batch, Ill do 2 teaspoons to 30ml. of vg.
IF its too strong, Ill just use less drops per ml. Thats, all. When I get the strong mix down, Ill let ya know. But, it definitely is good, I add the drops to Menthol flavor 24mg.,
I will try mixing it in USA mix(Marl.) and some Flue Cured also.

the m. crystal are found on Ebay, they are 7.50 for 2 oz. Thats all u need, its enough for at least 5 years for a heavy smoker.
As far as the BE 901, I get mine made at the same factory as Best Ecig, they all get different markings, most are made at same factory though. Just as I can get modifications made, when ordering over 100 at a time. I think all the atomizers, are really similar. ALthough, the 510 has two holes were its threaded by atomizer, and 901 only has one hole. 901 is smoother, 510 more vape. All in what u like, most people Ive turned on like the 901 better. Once I get a mod, well see which one holds up better. Im getting off topic though.

I really appreciate all the input, and the links left. Thank you.
please keep leaving opinions, on the mods, because I have not ordered yet, and Im still being swayed. i want affordable, dont care about looks, want no cut off, and strongest throat hit. thats it in a nutshell.

Thanks again

LOL. That's why you should take a look at the Screwdriver or the SuperT.

I'll have the Copper very shortly. It's shipping monday, and he's only a state away. I' got in on the first batch of Super-T's, and I got in on one of the first 40 GGT's. If you want to hold off, I'll be doing reviews on all of them. Honestly though? I haven't seen a negative review of the Copper. People that have them love them. And if I remember correctly, the designer has been using the same atomizer for almost five months now. That's what sold me. And a complete, as in everything you need, high volt kit for under 100 dollars? Depending on how much I like it, I might start recommending it to my heavy smoker friends trying to quit.

Seriously, if you can hold off. I'll have one in hand for testing. It uses two CR2's for a total of six volts. It uses RN4081 atomizers. You push lightly on the atomizer to start it. That's the button. It's kinda slick. Just push and inhale. I'm buying these things, people aren't donating them. You don't need to worry about my reviews being biased.

Checked out the link.
The price is good.
SO, u just push the atomizer down, and that turns it on.
Sounds great.
I really want to buy one right now, its hard for me to wait, im very impulsive. SO, it said, it works with the 901, which is fine, I use them and 510s or 801s all the time. Does it work with the 510 too, Would be nice if it did.

Well, if looks are more important to you than performance, then you should get the Blu model. You will look very cool, even though you won't really be vaping much.

Hey WV2win, whats the GG one u guys are talking about.
I went to the site, and was a little confused, it took me to a different named site, with iolites and volcanos, but I didnt see anything labeled GG.

Humm, well now I am confused, also. Just send imeothanasis a PM since he is the guy who made the thing. sorry about that. (It could be that the UK site is just out of them, also)

Zofryer, have u seen anyone or yourself tried, the maglight, or the box, he makes also. All three, look like good products. IT seems the maglight, is the same exact setup as the copper, just different body style, right? OH, also, I had a question on the prodigy, usb passthroughs. They make them for the 901, the 801, and 510. Im wondering if the 510 ones, are direct 5 volt line. I want to make sure the passthroughs, get the 5 volts they should before i buy one.
didnt know if u could help.
tried emailing them.
