A few questions about first purchase

First, let me thank all of you and especially the administration of this site for such a useful and rare online resource! I believe this forum is the best in his field. Thank you all for your presence and personage! It is pleasure to join your community. I hope I will be useful for others as well in near future.

It is already 10 days since I stopped smoking and now I am looking for an e-cigarette. After spending a lot of time for researching, I find out that one of the best e-cigarettes are DSE901 and Joye510 and decided to buy one of them. But first I have some general questions about this deal and want you to help me find out. I know, that many questions can sound silly, but I am a beginner after all and the answers can be very useful for me )))

1) A lil bit stupid question, but very important for beginners like me: which one is better, which one to buy - DSE901 or Joye510?
2) Are there any DSE901 or Joye510 BLACK cigarettes with RED LED? Or they come only with blue led? Is it possible to change the color of the led in future?
3) How can I be sure that purchased e-cigarette is 100% genuine and authentic and not a fake one? Is there any visual signs, stamps, emblems etc? Because the packaging of cigarettes (for example, DSE901) are different in every website and it is hard to find, which one is genuine and which one is fake.
4) I would like to purchase from E-Cigarette Mart. Do you recommend this website? Is it honest and are the items there 100% genuine and authentic? I've tried to use Heaven Gifts (it is a way cheaper and I've read many positive comments about it) but sadly this website doesn't ship to my country (Armenia). If E-Cigarette Mart isn't good, can you recommend me another one which is cheaper, 100% reliable and sells 100% genuine e-cigarettes?
5) Is any E-juice compatible with any cartridge of any e-cigarette, e.g. can I refill any e-cigarette cartridge with any E-juice? Or there is concrete E-juice for concrete e-cigarette model?

I recommend the M401 with extra atomisers, USB Passthrough, Manual Batts, blank carts and liquid.

If you are adventurous enough, you might wanna try the M702 which is a PC model or the M602 which is a manual starter kit. Do remember to leave a review.

1) The 510 seems to be more popular these days. 510 has a higher wattage atty, so the vaper is warmer and its easier to make more of. However some people say that higher temp gives burnt flavor and burns the cart filler sometimes

3) They are 100% genuine because the only people that make ripoffs are from china. In this case its hard to ripoff your own invention Also for the low price they are sold for, there is no margin to make a cheap ripoff.

4) I have no idea who would be best to ship to your country

5) The two models you listed take "regular" e-juice. Since you want 0 nic, its will be 99% PG or VG and a bit of flavor. The only thing is, you may not want to refill a cart with a different flavor, as the combination of flavors might be nasty.

6) As above, since you want 0 nic its really simple. Anyone should have a decent product, it all comes down to what tastes good for you. Buy many different 10ml (small) bottles till you find what you like.

7) I beleive the 510 cart is round and the 910 cart is flat. Find a supplier and see what they offer.

For your orders... Order 5 extra attys, 2 extra batts, 1 passthrough, and more e-juice (as above, small bottles different flavors). You could also order a few more black carts as its only like a buck for 10...

Different selelrs offer different color combinations, shop around. Changing the led itself later, short answer is no, long answer is maybee if you are an electronic surgeon

Just buy from a reputabe vendor, look inside and read comments from customers to see how they like the supplier to see.

Sorry I don't know about E-Cigarette Mart one way or another, they appear to be in china from the shipping page information on thier site. You could ask if anyone from Armenia here has bought and from whom, or who ships to there.

E-juice is a liquid, you can use it with any device, be it a cartridge or cartomizer. The only difference would be how easy it is to refill the cartridge.

6) What kind of flavor (e-juice) do you recommend me to purchase for the first time? There are a lot of flavors and it is hard to choose. Can you recommend me something?

I would suggest you try one flavor that sounds like the type of cigarette you currently smoke. I also suggest you try a different flavor that is not a tobacco flavor, so you can see the difference. Just pick something that is a flavor you like in a food/candy and try it. Also try a few different strengths of nicotine so you can find the strength that suits you best.

7) There are 2 types of cartridges - round and flat. Is there any difference? And will I need special e-cigarette to fit one of them, or both can fit any e-cigarette?

As e-cigs come in many brands/sizes etc, so do the cartridges that go onto them. The basic round or flat shape is just the style of the tip that fits in your mouth. Any site where you are looking at the device should say what type of cartiriges that device takes, and you should be able to order extra's for the type you buy. looking at your "picks" below you did select the right cartidges for the 901 allready.

The "empty" cartidges really are empty, no stuffing to hold the juice. Stuffing is fluval or another type of filler that soaks up the e-juice similar to what is inside a Zippo lighter and holds the fluid. So unless you have a plan for the stuffing like the PTB mod, you might be bestter off to buy some prefilled cartridges instead of the empty ones and refill those once you use them as they come with stuffing.

The 510 is popular I feel for all the wrong reasons. Since you have already stopped smoking cigarettes I would say to go with something like the m401 or the new version The Revolver which is a m702. It's a mini, it comes with a charger, it's white.

The 510 is a harsh vapor producer, that doesn't have the taste that the m401 series does. In my opinion the 510 battery sucks, the taste is harsh, and the carts are a major pain in the ..... The m401 battery is great, the taste is good, and the carts are a major pain in the .....

I would tell you to check out the KR808D-1 or Greencig. They are cartomizers with the atomizer built in the carts. They can be refilled just as the others can but the KR808D-1 carts are a piece of cake to refill and no mess, and no juice in the mouth either.

If your set on choosing between a 510 and DSE901 I would go with the 510.

Yes

Yes. Just get another battery. You'll need backups anyway. Not so easy to change out the led but it's possible.

No experience with E-Cig. mart. But you might have better service from Totally Wicked in England:

All ejuice can be used in all ecigs.

Taste is so subjective. Just go with flavors you like, then go from there.

If you go with the 510 you can use 510 or 901 cartridges and I highly recommend getting the 'flat tips'. I think they create a better seal and you get a better draw and better flavor, more vapor, etc.

This points out another difference in some 901 and 510 kits - the reason you get a 'spare' atomizer with the 901 is because 901 kits only have one atomizer - and usually right around the same price as a 'full 510 kit'.

Thank you for your fast and clear answers. Well, the only store that ships to Armenia with reasonable price is E-Cigarette Mart... Sadly, the rest of shops either don't ship to Armenia or the shipping cost is very high: for example, on Best E-Cig it is around 38$ which is horrible. On E-Cigarette Mart it is only around 8$... a huge difference.
That is why I bought the cigarette from Mart, it was my only choice. Yesterday this forum wasn't available due to server problems. The day before yesterday there were no answers in this topic. That is why I decided to purchase DSE901... But now I am reading the answers and I am more and more realizing that Joye is better for me... Is DSE901 that bad?? I've heard many good things about it.
Anyway, as I said, I purchased the cigarette from Mart. I am not sure about its reliability and authenticity of cigarettes, but it was my only choice. Well, I will write a review about it as soon as I receive my item )))
Totally, I bought DSE901 with spare atomizer, 30ml of e-juice and 10pcs cartridges for DSE. The total amount was approx. 58$ including shipping. Maybe a lil bit high price, but it is ok. I am only care about their fast shipping and genuine cigarette. We'll see...

Cheer up not all is lost, you can use the 901 with 510 carts and best of all you can use it with the KR808D-1 cartomizer carts so you literally get the best of both worlds. Don't kick yourself in the .... just yet. Order up some KR808D-1 carts to check out with your 901 you will love it.

You should be happy with your choice. If there were no 510, I'd likely get a 901 but with a manual battery. Yours will no doubt be an auto battery so you just want to make sure that no juice leaks into the battery, so I suggest don't drip on the atomizer or overfill your cartridge. The battery life, as far as recharge goes, is a little better than the 510, in part due to the auto cutoff - you'll understand that better when you get it but basically on an auto battery it will cutoff if you take too long of a vape. Not so on the manual.

The atty life varies - some have lasted months. Suggest do as little cleaning as possible and then read up on the methods used. When you first get the ecig, you might want to 'blow out' the attys by mouth from the battery end into a paper towel to get rid of the shipping fluid - it can taste nasty. But try it first. If you don't get a nasty taste just keep on vaping. If you do blow it out until no more moisture on the paper towel.

The filler in the cartridge can last a while - I clean mine out by soaking them in vodka about every week or two and after a month, they can get a bit ratty. When you clean them, pull them a part and make them 'fluffy' again. Once you can't get the fluff back, it's time to replace. You can use quilt polyfil - that isn't treated with flame ......ant. Or there are other things you can use. Search 'filler' or 'cartridges' for other options.

Red led on black sound good. Haven't seen one of those, I think they are fairly new. Happy vapin' !!!

No the Dse901 isn't that bad I think. Mine does its intended job. Good vapor, And good tasting.
