I am still learning though I think I know what my perfect(ish) setup is.

question 1:
for those of you using (if you're out there) 100%PG liquid, do you find one hole is enough for your carto to stay wet while in a tank?

question 2:
(for anyone) after you fill your carto and get it in the tank, and then fill the tank up, do you allow it to sit for any set period of time before firing it/using it?

I just had 2 cartos (new) with new juice have absolutely no snap, crackle or pop, and it seemed as though they were not geting liquid to them (even though every other time with the same setup they worked like a charm). I began to keep hitting them, and still no noise (snap, crackle, POP!) just quiet and the vapor began to get worse and taste foul. Just trying to figure out what im doing wrong, or if it was just a couple of bad cartos. Thanks

It could very well be bad cartos. It happens.

I rarely get the snap or crackle in my cartos anymore. I never use 100% pg liquid either. All my liquids are either 100% vg or a 50/50 ratio of pg/vg.

I use laser drilled cartos. The IKE Platinum cartos that I use have two holes which work for all of MY juices. 100% pg is probably thinner than a mix, so I would think the single hole that you are using should work fine.

Your brief description of your methodology on filling your carto seems to be sound. You might try some "primer puffs" without power on to get more juice into the carto time to time. It also might help to occassionally "top off" your carto with more juice, too. If this doesn't help, you might try a two hole carto and see what your results are.

Hope that helps.

While one hole is okay for PG juice...it's a good idea to punch a small second hole a couple of mm directly above the original hole...a little bit up on the cartomizer. My hubby uses 100% PG and while he uses the pre-punched cartos...he likes me to punch that second hole. It really helps. He also uses 2 hole (laser punched) ones, and still likes having that extra hole punched above one of the holes. Says it makes the vape better, less "dry hit" priming required, and helps his cartos last MUCH longer because they stay wet (but don't flood).

I also punch my cartos the same way...I use 85PG to 15 VG...and use only two holes. One lower where a normal punch would be and one directly above it. Works GREAT. I get a LOT longer life from my cartomizers that way.

I fill my carto before putting in the tank the usual way (only I use a syringe) then drop several drops in the battery end in the hole one at a time. They absorb in. Wipe off, put it in the tank, fill...and vape. I don't wait.

Oh yeah..and for standard 35mm cartomizers...just putting the upper hole a little higher and diagonally will work...since they are shorter.
