I've a wide selection of carto's ranging from 1.5 to 3 ohm's and different brands. Some are DC some not.
I guess my question is.. if I get the noise when I first use a carto shouldn't I always get the noise.
What always happens is I put a fresh carto on & I have the SC&P, then after a few vapes nada.
Also sometimes after a cleaning the carto will SC&P like a new one would then stop. Then all I get is the wooshing sound.

New cartos (or atties for that matter) are a little hotter (and make more sound effects) than they are when they've been in use for a while. (Build up on the coil cools them down just a little bit.)

Recently filled cartos generally have a little extra liquid on the coil (which also means more snapping), and after a couple of drags, they get to "normal" levels (less noise.)

And of course, newly charged batteries are a little stronger, and again give you more noise.

As long as you get the vapor you need, don't sweat the noise. If you're not getting the vapor you want, think about: More power (upgrading battery), lower resistance (different carto or atty) or just keeping the whole thing cleaner . (Change cartos more often, clean atties.)

Cardslinger likes the crackle...as most of us do. I do not use V4L pre filled cartos any more as I now buy blanks...but those babies would just pop in your mouth like the pop rocks candy....I loved that. Those contained a high pg juice.
