Hello Everyone!

I recently bought a manual Joye 510 Starter-Kit from Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store (can't post links, my apologies) I love this device and feel as though it has all of the capabilities that I'm looking for to deter me from smoking "analogs" as I've heard posters say on this forum. A few questions for the "Elite" Electronic Cigarette vapers.
__________________________________________________
1) How many drags do Joye 510 users normally get before the atomizer is too hot to keep vaping, and how long do you normally wait before starting again?
__________________________________________________
2) Besides the longer battery life and the ability to produce more vapor, what other benefits are there in using a manual compared to a automatic e-cig? Is it entirely preference then?
__________________________________________________
3) And, coming from me who would smoke 5-7 cigs a day, how long will my atomizer last? I've heard many people say 15-30 days. As well, what are the signs should look for to notice that my atomizer is worn down?
__________________________________________________
4) Lastly, every time I vape my e-cig I get a major buzz which reminds me of the feeling I would get from the first "analog" I would smoke each day. Does anyone else get an extreme buzz or am I just unique/crazy/a newb?

I'm relatively new to vaping myself so I might be off on some of this.

(1:
What I do with my 510 is after a couple long drags I've been pressing the atomizer to my bottom lip. If it's too hot to hold there without it feeling like I'm going to burn my lip, I take a break until the atomizer has cooled down.

(2:
I have a set of Blu PVs, which were my first set. They're really nothing special, but their size is nice. The batteries on these are automatic and they're incredibly sensitive.
I can shake the battery in my hand, without an atomizer plugged into it and the battery will activate.

I can imagine having these in a pocket, or anywhere frankly where they have the potential to be bumped or moved could turn them on. In addition to this running down your battery, if you have an atomizer attached, I would assume this could wear on that as well.

(3:
I'm not sure on this. I have an atomizer that I think just fizzled out on me today. I'm going to try to clean it out later. But, I think it's done for.
I used it heavily for about two weeks.

I'm not sure if this is the norm, though. Or just a fluke.

(4:
This, I think would depend on a lot of different factors.
Vaping doesn't really rush nicotine to your brain quite as quickly as smoking does. But, a buzz isn't impossible.

I would guess this might have something to do with the level of juice your vaping.
Or your tolerance; if you smoked .25 - .50 of a pack of combustibles a day it might be lower than someone with a two pack a day habit. In addition to what kind of cigarettes you used to smoke.

Too many variables in something like this to answer definitively.

As for your last question, it sounds like you may be taking in more nicotine than your used to. I think people recommend about 16mg strength for those that smoke roughly a pack a day. It looks like the carts that come with the 510 from cignot are 26mg strength. That would be the strength equivalent of smoking a pack and a half a day if I'm not mistaken. I would try a lower strength cartridge / e-juice @ about 6mg.

1) I bought a Joye 510 about a month ago and love it. To date, a few hits is overkill at higher nicotene levels. The atomizer has never has the opportunity to get too hot to handle.

2) I did a bit of reading here before making a purchase. I decided against the automatic 510. I want it to work only when I push the button. Some have had experiences with the automatic 510s that are less than desirable.

3) I don't think anyone can predict how long an atomizer will last. Exchanging a brand new atomizer that doesn't work seems to be at the discretion of the seller, not the manufacturer. Pick your supplier carefully.

Also, having to purchase a new atomizer every days sounds excessive.

4) LOL! You're not crazy at all. Your getting a major buzz from the e-Cig sounds just like my own experience as an e-Cig newbie. You're probably getting far more more nicotene than you need. As an ultra-light analog smoker, I'm still walking my way down in nicotene juice content to find the right nic level - one that I can tolerate without the heavy buzz. Too much buzz has hidered my complete conversion to e-Cigs. I'm not giving up though...

I can't find a way to edit my post.

"Also, having to purchase a new atomizer every days sounds excessive."

Should read 'every 30 days'...

The post edit option will open for you in a couple more posts.
It's locked out for you right now.

Get a couple more under your belt and you'll be able to edit your stuff.

Thank you to everyone for the awesome answers to my questions.

I don't understand why there's no edit option for anyone under 15 posts, or however many posts it is. Apparently they want us to revise what we write quite carefully to ensure we don't spell anything wrong or post anything stupid.

I just looked at my fluid and I'm using a 25mg Nicotine liquid. So, it seems like I'm gonna have to go from smoking the equivalency of 1/4 a pack to 1 1/2 a pack a day. I think I can handle that.

I smoked a pack a day and I went to 11mg juice without a problem.

Also, them revoking some posting privileges is to cut down on spam accounts or something? I'm not exactly sure.

Not really sure about those figures - everyone is very different. Some people need more nic, others can easily deal with less - its not always linked to how much you smoked as youre not JUST smoking nicotine.
I was a full pack of ultralights per day and I started on 24mg which was too high for ME - for others it may be 'just right' - I vary between 12mg - 18mg on a regular basis but I also have zero nic for when i jsut want to use the PV as a pacifier. If I get any reall strong cravings I use 24mg to just hit on a couple times. More than that I feel a bit buzzed or get a headache, so I can't use that a lot.
Many people find a PV alone is not enough, mainly because of the MAOIs in cigarettes (these are added chemicals which also act as an anti-depressant), and they need something like a smokeless tobacco product to stop them going back to cigarettes or resorting to drugs from the doctor. More info on that in the smoekless tobacco forums on this board.

My attys have lasted me an average of 4 months - thats with pretty heavy usage. I must add though that I drip, not use fillers, on my 510.
I vape mine until they are red hot :)
if it starts not to fire up properly or everything tastes bad just toss it. You can try cleaning it if you want, but they dont cost much I just toss them out.
Only then do I tend to put them down to cool off - or just take off the cart and blow down the atty til it cools lol. I can vape almost continuously until I feel 'satisfied' then I put it down for a while (varies between 5 mins and an hour)
I like the manual as you have complete control over the drag, more like a cig I think than the auto, but its also personal preference.
Good luck :)

1) How many drags do Joye 510 users normally get before the atomizer is too hot to keep vaping, and how long do you normally wait before starting again?
It really depends on the atty, I've found that if it's brand new it doesn't get hot as fast, but if I've been using it for a while it heats up quicker. Usualy I take 1-3 hits from my Joye 510, then I let it sit for a few minutes, until it cools off, before I hit it again. You'll start to know when to put it down. The other option would be to assemble 2 full e-cigs, so you can alternate and neither one gets too hot, giving the other a chance to cool down.

2) Besides the longer battery life and the ability to produce more vapor, what other benefits are there in using a manual compared to a automatic e-cig? Is it entirely preference then?
I don't relly think battery life has much to do with it, the manual gives you more control. Also you can take longer drags because there's no cut off time like with the autos.

3) And, coming from me who would smoke 5-7 cigs a day, how long will my atomizer last? I've heard many people say 15-30 days. As well, what are the signs should look for to notice that my atomizer is worn down?
As far as atty's life span, it depends on how it's used and taken care of. Yes they do say the average life span is 15-30 days, but I've heard many people saying they get much more use out of them. I would research the different cleaning methods on the forum. I'm not sure how you will know when the atty's dying, but there are a lot of ways to make them last longer on this site.

4) Lastly, every time I vape my e-cig I get a major buzz which reminds me of the feeling I would get from the first "analog" I would smoke each day. Does anyone else get an extreme buzz or am I just unique/crazy/a newb?
No your not a crazy newb! I kept getting a buzz too that lasted for a long time at first. It turns out my nic strength was too high. I was using 24mg, now I use 18mg and it's fine most of the time. I still get a buzz sometimes when I chain vape, but I ordered some lower mg to use for that now.

I would suggest ordering smaller bottles of juice in different strengths and flavors, from a few different vendors, until you find what works for you. Good Luck and welcome to the forums.
I'm still fairly new too, but I hope this helps you out.
