Exactly what she said.

Thank you. I'll stand by my convictions and I WILL NOT encourage anyone who isn't already a smoker to take up vaping anymore than I would a child. Even with 0 nicotine, I just won't do it. There are much better ways to occupy yourself. I switched to vaping because cigarettes were literally killing me. I've already battled cancer twice and I battle with MS every day. Sure, vaping is probably safer than smoking, but why in the hell would I want encourage anyone who isn't a smoker to start doing this? I apologize if I come off as terse, but I really wish that I had NEVER started smoking and maybe someday I'll stop vaping. This isn't a hobby for me. This is saving my life, but I'm not about to try and convert someone who doesn't need to be converted.

I've said my piece....

Oh, and when I linked those kits, I just said those were the ones readily available in my country. What kind of a PV would you recommend? I'd like a mini one, with either enough carts to last me for a few months or enough atomizers to last me for a few months, so I don't have to order them all that often. And what would the price be for a decent starting kit like that? (with two batteries)

Thanks for your concerns, and I understand your point, but look at this way, soon enough the obsessive snacking will be killing me, or at least affecting my health quite a lot. I think that vaping would be a healthier alternative to that.

My recommendation:

Honestly.. the Maxi, but if you want a slimmer profile... get a manual battery kit of the Titan. Other than that little decision, also get:

2 additional Atomizers
10 Cartomizers
10-20 cartridges
5-15 sampler bottles of interesting juice.

If yyou are always near a charging option... you're good, otherwise, get a Personal Charger Case (not needed with the Maxi)

You might want to get a USB passthrough as well if you're mostly going to be in front of your PC. Also, if vaping is really what's you feel you want to get into and are not nicotine addicted, do yourself a favor (as many others have already suggested) and only buy 0 nic vape juice. Addictions are not so much fun when you try to get away from them.

You are referring to the ones I posted in my link? Those were just an option available in my country, and not exactly cheap. Is that manufacturer good? Or do you have any other recommendations? Because I don't mind buying it from somewhere else :)

The Maxi looks like a rebranded eGo. There are a bunch of those around. I'm not an employee or anything, but for "starter" kits, I always recommend Volcanoecigs.com. Everyone has their preferred models, but I like them due to average price (you can usually get similar models around $10 cheaper) and outstanding customer service. Volcano's 510 model (like the one you linked) is the Magma. I got their Deluxe kit for $84 USD, shipped from Hawaii in 2 days. It comes with everything to get started and is of high quality. You get (5) 5-packs of cartridges in their limited flavors of your choosing and a portable charging case. In retrospect, I would have preferred manual batteries. While the Magma is a solid performer, I used it for 3 weeks before upgrading to the Inferno (Volcano's eGo)... which I'm loving. However, I was also a heavy smoker so battery hassles were my main factor for upgrade.

Generally, all 510 parts are interchangable or cross-compatible. So, Volcano's gear works with a plethora of other retailer's cartridges/cartomizers/atomizers and batteries. That means that, for the most part, you can buy cartomizers, juice, cartidges and other parts from a cheaper source you may happen to find and not have to worry about whether it'll work. The Inferno is just a huge battery with all the same connections as the Magma.

I also don't recommend saddling yourself with even the hand-to-mouth part of the habit. I certainly don't recommend anyone start using nicotine. You aren't going to get a buzz or whatever you are after. Real cigs have you breathing in carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide and hundreds of chemicals. Ecigs don't.

Re the units -

First - 510 is a popular model and probably the most supported model for accessories. But those prices are bad. Have you visited the Europe forum to see if you might get a better price from another country?

Attys are variable - you could get a dud that dies fast. You could get months out of an atty. It helps to treat them right. if the atty is getting too hot then it's not getting enough juice - you check the cart, the stuffing, see if it needs to be toop off with juice. You check the atty, see if it is gunked up, etc. It's usually recommend to have at least 3 attys and that can be two you alternate using (if you clean your attys that could be 1 you are using and 1 you are cleaning) and 1 total spare.

Cartos - I have gotten 2 weeks out of a Boge soft-cap carto for 510. It was actually 4 weeks but I use 2 cartos on 2 ecigs and split my vaping between them. I had to straighten the center air channel a couple of times but it was still working well enough after a month that I will try cleaning it. Some other types of cartos seem sort of wimpy after a week. At minimum you should be able to get several days out of a carto as long as you don't run ti dry and singe the stuffing.

Re dripping - you don't have to drip on an atty. You can use the cart. You will need to top off a cart with 2-3 drops more often than you need to top off a carto with 5-8 or more.

Yea, the prices are bad, that's like that for most of the stuff that isn't really popular, since there is no competition. I was checking out the 510s in the UK shop, total price for a starter kit was around 30 pounds, that's without shipping and the juice. I've checked out that extremely cool looking Maxx Fusion, but the bloog doesn't seem to ship outside of the US, and I don't know if some other sell it.
