URGH! Can't edit the thread title! Excuse the stupid misspelling, please.

I'd been eying a Reo Grand for a few months, and was thrilled to finally get one last week. It's clearly a finely made, well-designed piece of equipment, and I definitely consider its purchase as money well-spent. That having been said, I have a couple of observations and a minor nit-pick to bounce off the Reonauts.

In a couple of weeks, I will have been vaping for a year, and I've always been big on switching up my liquids. That's why I quickly settled on dripping as my method of choice; it makes changing juice flavors as simple as opening a different bottle. Changing flavors on the Reo, on the other hand, is another story. Don't get me wrong, it's not like swapping bottles in the Grand is a chore exactly, it's just a lot less convenient than merely opening up a bottle and dripping.

So, how do others deal with this? I assume I'm not alone in liking to change flavors often, and I'm sure somebody else has figured out an easier way. So, enlighten me! :)

As for my nit-pick, I really wish the firing button was either rounded or that it was somehow made softer.... Perhaps by being made from softer material or having a rubber dome membrane over it or something. In any case, the hard edges at the top of the button cause a bit of discomfort, and it would be nice to see that one aspect of the mod refined a bit.

Anyway, I'm well into day four of vaping exclusively on my new Reo Grand, and I'm definitely loving it. I look forward to some of your replies.

Most of the Reonauts have 10 or 12 different Reos all loaded up with different flavors.

If you're using an atty, you can drip into the reservoir and get your different flavor that way.

If you use cartos, you can swap cartos and bottles pretty easily and go from one flavor to another without mixing them.

As to changing juices, I have an all day vape in my Mini (and a completely different one in my Woodvil) When I want to vape something different, I vape the atty almost dry and add a few drops of the different juice to the overflow cup. The atty sucks it right up.

As to the button, that's what I thought at first, until I figured out that I don't have to mash the button all the way down to fire the atty. Just a light touch will make the necessary connection. If, for some reason, it doesn't, add a bit of noalox to the tip of the firing pin. :)

 Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary!!!

I fixed the thread title for ya:)

I know this has already been addressed, but figured I'd throw my bit in as well.
Swapping juice flavors is as easy as dripping into the drip tip or into the reservoir. Since you are a dripper, you already know that its not a "clean" flavor switch usually. Changing the bottles, for me is more of a long term change as I tend to use one bottle per flavor and since I have multiple REOs...well, I kinda dedicate a REO to a flavor in most cases. But that's just me...

As far as the button goes...you should never have to hold the button down in such a way that it hurts your finger. A light press ought to do it. If you are unsure, hold the REO up near your ear, then press the button softly. If your atty is flooded, vape through it so you can hear your atty fire. Make sure your switch is turned all the way to the left so it doesn't hang up on the ledge when you press it. Keep us posted.

To change up flavors all I do is drip in to the well. Rob designated the mod with that in mind. Hope this helped.
I see many others have said the same thing.

Yep, thats what I do too. I vape waffle mostly. Just a drop or 2 of strawberry or blueberry in the catch cup and its a very nice change up for about 15-20 drags... :)

I vape a lot of Havana Gold so I drop fruit flavors or some nutty flavors works well and keep the taste buds fresh. :)

The past few weeks I have been on a Coconut Havana kick.

Pretty Much Everybody said:

I just tried this a few times, and it works perfectly. Problem solved! Thanks!

Heh, OK, it's entirely possible that I have been pushing down too hard on the button. I'll try going with a lighter touch from here on out.

Thank you SO much! I'm totally OCD about spelling, and it was killing me that I couldn't fix that!

And thanks for all the responses, guys. I really appreciate it!

LMAO are we so spoiled with this mod that swapping bottles is a pita? I also drip into the catch cup now and then, but I admit to having at least 10 6ml bottles ready to swap.

I had to learn not to push the button too hard, though it works fine if you mash it, we are applying unnecessary force causing some fatigue and discomfort. Learn it, love it, vape it.

I too suffered from a bit of a sore finger and came up with this. It is nothing more than a ½ inch rubber bumper, but it does need a bit of fabrication to make it work. With the right tools it only takes a minute or two. I first remove the brass screw and replace it with a longer screw and nut. Then I put this in my cordless drill, set to reverse to prevent the nut from loosening, and just lightly touch it to the side of the rotating wheel of my bench grinder. Then flip the bumper over on the screw and repeat to obtain a slight bevel.

These really do work great and no glue is needed to hold them in place. I have yet to loose one and I pocket my REO’s all the time. I purchased a bag of 25 of these bumpers from McMaster Carr for $5.59 (part number: 9541K1). The only negative I can think of with this button top is that it’s quite easy to inadvertently lock the switch. Not a big issue though. Actually, I find that I use the lock all the time now because it is so easy to flick it on and off with one finger.

Hey Mlinky, definitely not interested in the money.......it's juice I crave!!! I'll send you a few....send juice!!! Hahaha!!

Actually, if a person simply placed a paper punch size dot of double stick foam tape on their REO switch and placed the recessed bumper on top, it would likely be about the right height. Hence, no modification necessary unless you desire a bevel. Note that you can also file these bumpers down with a standard file. It just takes a bit longer to do.

I never noticed any sore finger ... not since I learned that you barely have to touch the button for it to fire.

I just kept trying a lighter and lighter touch and figured out how light a touch it takes.

Very true - our brains are probably wired to hit the button hard, like mashing the gas pedal. But a light touch works just fine. A neat idea by Dogzlife, though.
