A first .. And a last

A friend had an e-cig a few weeks ago and I was curious - I've been smoking for 30+ years - started when I was 12 when my older brother handed me a cigarette and said "try it, it's really cool.". Hmph! I should have never touched another when I ended up throwing up in the bathe room a few minutes later, but nobody ever said 12 year olds were smart! So ..many years later, having tried to quit smoking with every help possible - gum, patch, chantix, a loving husband (who has never smoked a day in his life) saying "just do it", and finally, maybe, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I smoked my last analog cigarette this morning and am not looking back. I bought a Smoov starter kit yesterday with a bottle of menthol e-juice and a trial of caramel macchiato e-juice at a little store near where my son lives and now I don't want an analog. I don't feel the need to run outside and sit bundled up against the cold, wet, nastiness so I can fill my lungs with more burning crud. Instead when I start to feel the urge I pick up my PV and enjoy right here om the couch with my cat beside me, my dog at my feet, and no smoke making everything smell. World, I'm smoke free and staying that way!

Welcome to the forum and congrats Kristin! You are on your way to an entirely new lifestyle! Soon, you'll find that even the taste of stinkies is so bad that you'll wish you had found vaping sooner. You'll also find a lot of support and fun to be had among a great group of folks. Keep up the wonderful work and enjoy yourself. :)

Hi Kirstin!

Welcome! Exact same thing happened with me. As was mentioned before, the first week is the toughest (and at least for me wasn't that tough, lol). You'll be constantly amazed at how EASY the transition from smoking is.

This is a great community here. Sounds like you have a lot of support so I won't wish for your success--you're sure to have it. :toast:
