A while ago a friend of mine gave me a few mL of bees knees from alien vaper. I loved it. After it was gone I kind of forgot about it...

Until around a week ago....
I made a bottle of my vanilla juice and put it in the old bees knees bottle. Well, some of the bees knees must have been left in the cap because when I dripped some on my atty and vaped it I got the honey flue cured flavor and it was excellent.

Fast forward to a few days ago- I bought a 30mL bottle from AVE and I've been vaping it nonstop.

To get to the point, I'm making this thread to ask if anyone knows of a honey/honey flue cured flavoring that tastes like natural honey or similar to AVE bees knees. I tried honey TFA from wizard labs and it tasted nothing like the real thing. I'd like a natural tasting honey or a honey flavoring with very light tobacco undertones. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Peace and love

Light tobaccos with honey- Hangsen Golden VI (yum with nothing added) or Golden Tree as a runner up. (I got those from RTS who has 15% off until Nov. 4th midnight, code HALLOWEEN15A) VZSC Honey Flue Cure Tobacco is quite nice, for me and for what you are describing it needs added honey. If you go to VZ, the VZSC Gourmet Honey is very good. Inawera Honey is the hands-down best honey flavoring ever. I swear I can taste the clover.

I haven't tried Bees Knees, it sounds good. I may have to check that one out. :)

I've tried the TFA Black honey tobacco at 7% and it was very good. But be warned it needs at least 5 weeks of natural steeping. UC or heat steeping won't do it for this one.

Also I can say the hangsen tobaccos are very good and although I have not tried any of the hangsen honey tobaccos. I've tried about 10 of there others and have not got a bad one yet.

I'm looking for the same thing - I love Bees Knees. One of my very first mixes was VZ honey flu cured with VZSC honey. It wasn't bad, but it had a sort of nutty undertone that, for me, detracted from the honey flavor. I haven't tried the honey alone, but I think I will do that today to see which flavor that nuttiness comes from. Otherwise, as I recall, it was pretty close to a natural honey flavor. I have also tried the Nature's Flavors honey, which I didn't like at all - very little natural honey flavor and very floral. I'm letting it steep, but it would have to change a lot to make it likable, or even vapable, for me.

I've tried black honey tobacco. I don't think it tasted anything like real honey tbh. Thanks for the recommendation though. Just to be clear, I'm looking for a flavoring identical or close to natural honey.

Not sure what % you used.. but you can't get any better than BHT.. try around 5-7% but.. Like Danny said.. steep it. an us won't help, the best way is to let time take care of your juice.

First impression is positive, although I need to tweak my mix. Started at 3 drops per mil, which was too light. Bumped it up to 4 drops per mil, which I think is where I should have stayed. At that level, it has a nice, natural honey flavor that would probably intensify with a bit of steeping. However, for the sake of science, I bumped it up again to 5 drops per mil. At this level, it seems to have less honey flavor and I'm sensing just a hint of a floral note. Keep in mind that it's less than 12 hours old at this point, so it's apt to change considerably over the next few days. I'll revisit it mid-week and see what's what at that point. I also need to correct myself - this is the regular VZ Honey - it's not one of the super-concentrated flavors.

Hi Pure!

Just for my clarification, when you say you tried TPA Honey and it tasted nothing like the real thing....how did you make it? %? or PG/VG? etc.

I have trouble with a lot of the TFA /TPA flavors because there's so much perfume/chemical thing IMO (the PG base perhaps?)
I've been staying away from PG at all with the exception of some DIY flavors that are PG based (which then become soooo diluted because I use 100% VG nic base lol)

However, regarding Honey...I've found that just a few drops per 1ml (in my 100%VG nic base) is a nice flavor. It's one of the very few flavors that I vape right away but it does get even better with age. [Most of my DIY (and vendor VG juices) need weeks-to-months before they taste good and flavors meld.] I add a few drops of the Honey to my tobacco flavors sometimes and it gives them a nice touch of honey flavor:)

I've never tried Bees Knees because it's referred to as PG Bees Knees :(

I don't have the recipe anymore. I must have deleted it off of my calculator because it was crap. Though, if I had to guess, I would say that I started at 5%, as I usually do, as per WL's recommendation.

I messaged Ave and asked if it was 100%PG because of the name. They told me it was actually mostly VG. To be honest, I have a hard time believing that. I've mixed a lot of juice ratios in my time as a DIY'er. If I had to guess I would say it was around 60/40 70/30 based on the viscosity.

Just to update - after a few days of steeping, the VZ Honey at 5 drops/ml was very nice. The faint floral note I was tasting at first disappeared, and the slight sharpness or acidity that was present when fresh smoothed out pretty well. Next batch, I'll try dropping back to 4 drops/ml and replace the 5th drop with Malt from Nature's Flavors. I've taken to adding that stuff to just about everything - adds fullness and a sort of "finished" quality. I highly recommend it if you haven't tried it.

I've been wanting to make a honey tobacco for a long time. I've never tried one, but it sounds like a great mix. I got one honey that was terrible. (Can't remember what brand. I'll have to look through my flavors.) I tried TPA Black Honey Tobacco and didn't care for it. Recently I got a small bottle of NF Honey... I didn't even try mixing it up. It smells so strongly of flowers/perfume/soap that I couldn't bring myself to do anything with it.

What are the regular VZ flavors? TPA?

Has anyone tried the VZ Gourmet honey? The reviews on their site sound pretty good.

The problem with the TFA black honey tobacco is it needs a good 5 weeks to steep otherwise it has a strong chemical taste but after 5 weeks it is very good. It's the only tobacco that would not steep in my UC.

I've been playing with some FA tobacco flavors this week and found that adding the very lightest touch of FA's Honey flavor is very good. Their Honey is a dark flavor. I mixed it plain at 5% and it was overbearingly sweet on its own, but not perfumey or chemical-tasting at all. Just like vaping a jar of dark honey. Even with my sweet tooth, I can't handle it plain. A drop of two (mixed at 5%) added to my finished FA tobaccos - yeah, that's good stuff!

I'm still following this thread :) because I'd like a good honey flavor that's not too flowery. When I use actual honey (to eat) I find I like Clover honey best. I'd like to find this in a vape. I need alcohol based and not PG-based, so this could be where my problems are>

So how's your search going Purelyscientific?
