Call me crazy but I just use the blue flame of my gas stove. I of course use some gloves and needle nose pliers for safety.

Why not... It don't take that much heat to flame Kanthol or oxidize the gauge ss mesh we use..
It would jut be a bit slower, but not THAT much slower...

You'll pry my gas stove from my cold dead fingers...
On the other hand, you can't use an inverted funnel to suck through while you drip on a gas stove if your last battery bites the dust either...

Everythings a trade off!

You are correct but something tells me, if I really wanted to, I could pour juice into an iron skillet, throw it on the stove, drill a hole in the lid and use an inverted funnel to get more vapor than I could handle. :D
