A GP Paps conundrum

I bought a used Paps Lux SS 18500 which I think is great. I ordered a brass 18650 tube from SS Vapes that arrived quickly and looks great. Happy with the trial order I placed another order for tubes and a brass Lux 18500 V3.

My vape mail came today and inside the holster marked GP Lux 18500 is the GP G Paps X 1.5 brass 18650.

I am wondering if I should just keep what I have since I already have a V3, or send it back. I have $62.50 in it so the money isn't a huge deal and the mod looks slick, but it isn't what I ordered either.

Is the 1.5 equal to or inferior to the V3? That is the heart of the matter.

SS Vapes is cool with me keeping it or sending a prepaid label (great customer service).

The 1.5 is different than the V3, and I think an older design, but it is growing on me.

Anything I am missing that makes the V3 preferable?

So wait am I understanding correctly that you received a Paps x instead of a v3? They should look drastically different the x being a segmented tube with a 23mm diameter and different switch. Imo the Paps x is superior, and is reflected in the price difference. I Prefer the Paps x to the v3, personally.

The GP X SS Lux that I bought is 18650 only, not segmented.

I'd be interested to know the difference between the 1.5, 3.0 and how X fits in. Maybe @perseas can chime in.

I Have a v2.5, v3 and X 1.5 (original segmented one to use different battery sizes). Try what you have and see if you have a preference. I Like the button on the x more than v3.

Thank you for the reply. They do look different. The tube isn't segmented though, it is a single brass tube that holds one 18650 battery. The mod was wrapped in tissue paper, inside a small plastic bag, and the bag was inside a black holster. the store tag on the outside was wrong so it was an easy mistake to make. The price dif is only $7.50 so I wasn't sure from that what to make of these different (and confusing) models and versions.

@BreSha6869, I think this one looks like the X SS in your link but with the LUX tube.

I picked up my first used GP based on your positive comments, +1 and then some. These are nice mods.
