I had initially thought I'd name this thread "The Perfect Vape" but then realized that there is likely no such thing. That it is something that will always be chased by the tinkerers of the vaping world. So I decided on "A Great Vape" because that's what I'm looking for.

I have been smoking ecigs for about 4 years now. I'm ready to take the next step in to the Mech MOD on which to mount the Russian 91% I ordered last night.

I have plenty of eGo Twist style batteries and a couple of "brand name" MODS (the Cool Fire 1 and the iTaste 134 mini) that I plan to use for my ADV setups. They're small enough to carry and don't require much maintenance on a day-to-day basis. What I'm looking for is a beast of a Mech MOD with which to sit in the man cave at night that will help me produce massive plumes of tasty vapor. I know that the Russian will already bring me a long way towards that goal, but I'm hoping for a beast of a stick to go with it and help it be the rba I know it can be.

I'd buy the new Tac MODS AR MOD in a heartbeat if it didn't have a bottom button which brings me to my list of wants:

I'm not terrible picky about color, but I'd prefer a black or satin finish stainless. A polished stainless is fine, as is brass, but they fall last. Overall, if the MOD I like best is a brass one, so be it. I'll go that way. Wood would be cool too, but it would have to be a compelling design. Overall the finish is the least important thing.

I'd prefer it not be too busy (see the V3tronix Flip), but some machining for effect would be super cool.

I require a side button. Bottom buttons kill me. I find them absolutely annoying to use and can't stand them.

I want something that is well built. It doesn't need to be huge (though big is fine) but I want to feel like I'm holding a well crafted piece of kit in my hand when I hold it. But it needs to perform as well as it looks.

Clones are fine as long as they perform as well as the original.

If anyone might be able to point me in a good direction for a Mech MOD that will help me along I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

How much are you looking to spend?

For authentic check out the atmizoo line including the roller and dingo.
If you can afford to spend even more check out MMV's Poldiac line.

Both of these lines of Mos are available right now.

For a clone the Poldiac is awesome but requires a little modding of the button to function perfectly.

There are others like GG, Fecit dominus and clones of thse styles though i have no experience with them.

Others my be able to add more.

I'm looking to spend less than $200.

The Atmizoo Roller is actually on the short list. I'm going to take a closer look at the Dingo as well.

I looked at the Poldiacs, but there's something about them that I don't like, though I can't exactly put my finger on it.

Much appreciated.

Thanks

Since you're looking at the Atmizoo mods, also consider the Lab. I have a brass one, and love it.

What about a pipe mod? Usually top fire, some are side fire. Steam Ecig/Epipemods have some seriously classy looking models. I think they'll show "out of stock" for the remainder of the weekend, as they're at Vapefest DC and apparently brought everything. Only real downside, if you like them, there aren't too many pipes made for anything larger than 18500 batteries, but you can occasionally find one with a super deep "bowl" for 650s.

After much reading here at ECF and elsewhere on the internet, viewing reviews on YouTube, price comparisons, etc I decided on the Roller from atmizoo. It seems a high quality piece of kit that is highly reviewed by virtually everyone. It's beautiful, minimalist, has a spankin' button with lock mechanism, and is thought well of virtually everywhere. I had thought about getting a clone of one type or another, but then figured why spend $50 on a fake that may or may not function as it should or require fiddling to get things to work right when I can just buy the real deal. I figure a lot of the people with a dozen clone mods have a dozen because they haven't been truly happy with them and keep moving on to find one that will work well. Buy once cry once, right?

I picked it up in the Iced Matte SS color which should match the Russian 91% I have on the way pretty well.

Once I get the MOD and the atty, I'll update the thread.

Thanks for the replies.
