I replaced the coil on an rda tonight and my first though was "share pictures!"

The rda was not producing much in the way of flavor or throat hit, but was not tasting burnt. Some dark thick juice probably hastened the demise of this coil.

What is that? An Octopus? I wash and dry burn mine once a week, and it's been going for two months now... I don't use it much though

Yes, it's the Octopus or Smok Tech RDA. I am going to keep a closer eye on it the new coil and wash it more regularly, but I think I know which juice did it.

Wow, that's pretty bad. I think that thing is way past a dry burn. Time to recoil!

Yep, soaking and dry burning aren't having any effect on this thing.

Bobas Bounty does that to my silica rba's. I can get 5 days out of a coil before I have to dry burn and wash. Mind you that is with exclusive use.

Thats why Im liking gennies at the moment. You can dry burn the crap out of them, so ATM bobas bounty is a genny only device. I loved it in my Dripper Pro! Huge vapor and amazing flavour! (even better than the genny) Though it got caked up so fast it was ridiculous.

I use pretty much one or two basic juice with a dash of different touches of vanilla, almond, etc., for variation. DH same. Our juice major gunks up all coils really fast; sometimes in a day. I use various RBA bottom feeders, A7, A7 Mini, Surface (German original that A7 Mini is a clone of) , Hornet and ERA, REOmizer, Killer 705 as BF feeder atty sans tank. Some I can go 2 days between warm water rinse and dry-burn but others every day clean and dry-burn. Killer I can also use torch for even better cleaning of wick as no insulation of post or o-rings in it to scortch.

RBA tank coils can go a few days longer but if DH goes over a week with Mini Nova coil it gets so gunked it basically stops working; feeding and firing and they look like the pictured 1 month coil.

This is why anything but silica or SS, for us, is so impracticable as natural wicks can't be dry burned and I just can't manage to do so much rewicking. That's why prefer 30 ga over thinner as it hold up better to so much dry-burning.

BTW.... when we used prebuilts, no matter the brand, I could only go about 3 days before boiling and dry-burn needed. Cartos about the same before tossing. Before RBAs I cleaned used cartos and threw them in emergency box. Tossed several hundred emergency used cartos soon after getting first ERAs.

DH can go a little longer than I as his taste is not as acute as mine.

dang mine looked worse after a day haha, it was a twisted 32g 3/4 wrap at around .8ohm, i did go through a ton of liquid, and it probably didnj't help to have 50 drops n the atty so it was juust getting backed, next time i get a crappy coil, i'll snap a pic and wouldn't be surprised if some of you puke lol, wash with water, try dry burning, if that doesn't work, recoil
