First off I would like to thank everyone here on all the great information you all provide. After reading countless threads and several videos I decided to give rda's a try. Bought a trident and a smok rda. Trashed the stock coil in the smok though. Got some 28g kanthal and organic cotton balls. Used the smallest drill bit I had and wrapped some coils. On the trident I got 1.5ohms and on the smok I got 1.0ohms. Not yet comfortable to go sub ohms just yet I was pretty happy with my results.

I absolutely love the flavor and vapor production im getting now! I was impressed and pretty excited to have actually built two successful coils. Not sure if I used to much or not enough cotton but I layed in loosely and fluffy. I haven't had any dry hits or burnt taste. And these produce huge clouds!!

A little LESS cotton will make for a neater appearance....and less chance of "drip-out".....
Other than that...just BE SURE the cotton is SATURATED (as you've done!:D)....and....
ENJOY!! I sure do!! Moving DOWN from 24mg. to 18mg. keeps me from "star-gazing" after just a few "toots"!!;)
Happy (vaping) Trails!

Congrats! The shorter wick is more efficient at wicking juice. Micro coils on a dripper(IMO) are near impossible to beat for flavor and vapor production. Now have fun with flavors you thought before to be just meh. Micro coils (ESP. Sub ohm) bring out amazing notes not tasted with clearomizer tanks and the likes. Welcome to the club! Next rebuild try boiling the cotton first before wicking. Use the same flavor as you used this time and be ready for a noticeable difference in a positive way.

SAFELY rock a dual micro setup at .6 ohm(1.2 ohm per coil) with boiled cotton and just soak it in.....

Will definitely try that! Knowing I would eventually try sub ohm at some point, I purchased a ohm meter and the proper batteries already. So basically just wrap 2 identical coils around 1.2ohms and fire away??
