My name is Steve and I started vaping this past March. I been smoking a pack a day for almost 35 years. vaping has helped alot and I'm down to maybe 6 cigs a day now. I been trying numerous ejuice flavors so yes I have spent alot of $$ to find my flavor as well as my nicotine level. I'm at 6mg at the moment but was curious as to the 0mg ejuices. For example, if you purchase a 60ml 0mg bottle of ejuice do you get the same amount in the bottle as you would a 3mg..6mg etc? I have heard that some do not fill the bottle as full. just wanted to clarify that because I cant get a definative answer. thanks!! And.....Howdy

Don't know the answer to your question but I'm sure someone will. Welcome to ECF! Congrats on lowering your cigarette intake, keep going! I wouldn't recommend trying to get off nicotine in your e-cig until you're completely off cigarettes though, for a whole number of reasons.

I'm pretty sure they'd fill it up like normal. I would think they would because they're actually saving money by charging you the same, but not putting nicotine in it because the pure nicotine juice they probably use is expensive. Go on Liquidnicotinewholesalers.com and take a look at their jug of pure nicotine juice. I don't quite remember the exact price, but it's in the four figure range.

    Ah! You’re thinking of “shortfills”.

    Basically you’re fine.

Shortfills are an EU thing. Short-fills are for when there’s some sort of law or other in a given place limiting nicotine strength or how big a bottle of nic juice you can sell or other stupid skullduggery. The idea is the user then puts their own nic into the bottle to make a strength of their choosing. I actually bought a few of them from Poland by accident thinking they were flavorings. They were actually pretty good. They were super cheap and even though they were short on base they had the full amount of flavor in them so after I nicked them up how I wanted they worked great. I’d actually do it again if the postal fees weren’t such a killer.

    The good news:
AFAIK there’s nowhere in the USA so far that has been reduced to pulling that one, so as of this moment AFAIK you’re safe. I could be wrong about that one though and there’s no telling when it might change. In any event if it’s a short-fill bottle it will say so. Even if you do get one somehow though all you have to do is pour some PG or VG (which are both dirt cheap and easily available) into it and you’re good to go.

A bottle of zero and a bottle of nic juice mixed is a good way to titrate down your nicotine once you’re down to 3mg/ml or so. It’s how to get that 2.5-2.0-1.75-1.5-1.0-0.5 thing that is sometimes needed to get off the nic for good.

    Hi and welcome Steve,
Yes, a can of regular coke has the same volume as a can of: diet coke, coke zero, caffeine free diet coke, et al.

Are you asking about "short-fill" liquids? They often contain 80% of the containers volume and are designed to have an additional 20% (consisting of nicotine/PG/VG) added to the bottle.

What brands have you tried and what flavours are you enjoying most?

Remember that the "vape" industry makes it's money on juice. Think; ink jet printer cartridges or razor blades.
Note: 1000ml of unflavored, 6mg/ml liquid can be made by "us" for about $30.00.
If you have never vaped unflavored, it tastes a bit like a Marlboro light. (and coils last for ages)

    Cheers
    I

I got a cheapo solution as well you may or may not like: don’t even bother getting flavored zeros. Just use base. It will cut the flavor and therefore change it but if you’re trying to get off of vaping that might even be good. And base is really really cheap.

If you want to low ball it Iirc PG is used as a cow laxative and they sell it by the gallon. Or you can get the good stuff for only a tiny bit more.

The 60 ML 0mg juice should contain the same amount of liquid as the 6mg or 3mg juice. They are selling 60 ML of juice.

There is always some space in the bottle as it isn't full to the rim but should still be 60 ml of liquid.

Here is is illegal to sell cigarettes or ejuice with with nicotine in any flavor other than tobacco. So they sell 0mg nic ejuice and a small squeeze container of nicotine to put in the 0mg. You can get an add in to bring it to 3mg, 6mg nic, etc

Welcome to the friendly bunch :)

They'll just fill it normally the actual amount of extra liquid that would be added for 6mg of nic is negligible and not really worth worrying about. It may be a good idea for you to add your own nic especially if you go the diy route and make the total liquid yourself-flavourings, PG, VG and nic. Good luck.

Welcome! I smoked for 40 years... up to a pack a day. Vaping got me down to 5 cigs a day, then one day I decided I was ready. It wasn't easy... very hard the first two weeks! I'm almost 2 months now, and yes, I have cheated a few times, but I always realize I like the vape better. At first I needed 18mg nicotine. Now down to 12mg. You will need more than 6mg (or at least have some stronger handy if you need it) Sometimes I mix flavors (including tobacco) to get the level I need (or to thin the juice also) I might have some good flavor that's only 6mg (and thicker/darker/sweeter) so I mix with cheap tobacco flavor that's 18mg and thinner (50VG/50PG) to help my coils last longer. Keep your battery charged.

In the United States you purchase ejuice by volume, so if you purchase a 60ml (a volume unit of measurement) bottle of ejuice, your purchasing that exact volume of ejuice.

when they label the mg (which is mg/ml) of nicotine, that is just telling you how many mg of nicotine is in each ml of ejuice in the bottle you purchased, and has nothing to do with the volume in the bottle.

That said, some brands/manufacturers of (empty) bottles allow for more headroom in the filled bottle than others, and in no way should affect the volume contained in the bottle itself..

In other words, if you bought a 60ml bottle you got 60ml of ejuice.

    Welcome to ECF!
