Evening everyone!
I am a pretty much a novice at this whole vaping thing. I've been vaping about a year or so. For the last few months I've had an Aspire Atlantis on a Eleaf istick 100w. I run it in vw mode at 35w usually cause that is what has tasted the best. I read a lot of posts where people are talking about coils and what ohms it is, what wattage will give you the best throat hit etc. I never really payed much attention to it. I decided I needed a new toy and got myself the UWELL CROWN. It came with a dual 0.25 ohm coil. I read the minimum wattage is 80 watts. 80 WATTS!! I thought for sure that much power would make the hit quite harsh. Just hit my CROWN for the first time at 80 watts with unicornicopia's majestic melon (6mg) expecting to be choking. HOLY DELICIOUSNESS BATMAN! It was amazing! Warm but not hot at all. Full of flavor. What have I been doing the last year?! The light bulb has come on ladies and gentleman! I can't wait to try some new flavors with this bad boy. Thinking I might need to upgrade my box now. It wouldn't hurt to have a few setups on hand anyway. Wismec Reuleaux RX200? Yes I believe I will! The fact you didn't pay much attention to Wattage/Resistance and your username contains Electrician concerns me
On another note, glad you enjoyed it, I've had similar experiences upgrading to higher wattages, from low, much more satisfying in my opinion

I thought about that myself after I posted it and how ridiculous it sounded. I was wondering how long it was going to be before someone commented on it. I hope some of the beginners might learn from me. Obviously it is all personal preference but it is night and day for me how much better it is. Humbled electrician signing off.

I love hearing stuff like this personally where new to moderately experienced vapers are making their ways up the ladder as far as higher performance/higher quality products. Yeah, you do have to be mindful of the safety though, these devices can do serious damage if they're missused. Otherwise though, I'm glad you're happy! I love The Crown, really it's probably the most full-flavored subtank I have had. I'm actually waiting on a second one in the mail right now. Vape on!

Hell yeah the crown is an awesome tank! I have two of those and two of the Smok Tfv4's. All around the smok is a better tank, IMO. I vape at 100-120 watts all day.

I was an electrician in a previous incarnation...before college, and the Ohms law seems like a reach to anyone getting in to this. After all, who among us IBEW guys hasn't fried a pair of tools on a 220 light post lead that was off just "15 minutes ago."

I viewed everything as a toy, and nothing to be taken too seriously, but now that I've been around a while, I know you would be wise to tread lightly, especially if handling high nicotine or a 26650 serial wired unregulated box.

Thank you for the invite Tommy! Glad to be part of such a distinguished group of people! We should make up a vapehead skin for boxes. When someone gets in the "club" they get a skin like getting your cut in an MC. Seriously though, the few short days I've been a member have been absolutely awesome! Welcomed with open arms. Can't wait to learn as much as I can.

Skins for mod boxes would be great or just engrave it on our mod boxes!

BC offers engraving for their covers, and I'm thinking sometime in January I'll try to order one or more of these boxes! Sounds like a plan.
