A little advice

I have been vaping on and off for about a year now. I was quit with analogs for about the first three months of vaping and gave up :(. I have a new life in me to throw away analogs completely :). I need a little advice though. I am looking for a vet to make a recommendation on what is the hot product. I will give a little background into my vaping experience. I started off with a 510 atty I tried using the 3.7 batteries (push buttons) and was somewhat satisfied, I mainly use a mod I made with an Altoids box and rechargeable batteries or I pass device to get the whole 5v experience. My pass device is obviously limited to my computer use and my Altoids creation is a little too bulky. I recently started using cartomizers because every cart mod seemed to fail...from the blow foam, darts, straws, and the poly mesh. Cartomizers are alright but they seem to wear out after about two refills...I have also tried cleaning the mess and it doesn't help much. I have also tried dripping, which is alright as long as you are not driving lol. I am wanting a new set up completely. Money is not that much of an issue, because it is tax season and with vaping you save in the long run versus analogs obviously, it's mainly the cost of the start up. I have found juice that I like, I love the 24mg RY-4 from awsome vapor.
I basically need advice on whole new setup excluding juice. I thought about trying the joker or something similar to it from vaprlife.com but read awful customer service and product reviews. I have ordered from cignot before and totally wicked. Maybe I need to go back to a 3.7 set up with low resistance attys and try something like the tornado from totally wicked...I don't know where to start there are so many new products come out since I have been on this site lol. I want a good hard throat hit and a little flavor...throat hit is more important than flavor ATM since I am trying to kick the analogs perma. I am need of dire help of some good advice lol. I don't even know if me using the cartomizers are worth it. Any input would be very very appreciated. I have trolled the forums and couldn't dig through the vast amount of information on this site. There are way too many new products and I am way too behind to try to catch up. I am not looking for a short cut because I am lazy, just looking for a good opinion or start...

Thanks in advance

This is a very good question. I am at the same situation, started with 510 and it worked just fine for about 4 moths; however I am back to analogs now. I just got too frustrated with constantly changing attys and charging batteries every so often. What is a good big, bulky, reliable e-cig, that lasts long, produces a lot of vapor and throat hit(definitely strong throat hit)and hopefully doesn't need new parts every week.? I was planing to order the Inferno kit(Volcano), but I wanted to hear some experienced opinion before I order anything else.

HI! For me if money was no object I would look into a Variable Voltage device! I was looking at the Provari and it looked interesting to me with the digital read out to adjust your power and such! It does look to be a little large! I don't own one as money is tight on my end! Not saying to buy that model but VV is where I would be looking!
I'm sure someone from the high voltage mod crowd will be able to guide you better than I! Good luck in your journey!

A good standard set up if you're looking for long battery life (6+ hours), throat hit, and plumes of vapor:

1. An eGo/riva/tornado/t-rex. A good, standard, widely available system. If you're concerned about battery life, you can buy 1000 mah batteries, that should last you hours upon hours of vaping, but standard 650 mah works well enough for me. You can also buy spare batteries. I have 3 eGo batteries, and I can go for two days without having to charge any of them.

2. LR atty/cartomizers on an eGo. LR typically means 1.5 ohms. 3 ohms is standard resistance. You definitely don't want to use anything above 3 ohms on an eGo, you'll be sucking more air than vapor. I would suggest going with LR cartomizers rather than atomizers unless you are dripping. You can get a 5 pack of cartomizers for a little over the price of an atomizer. So it's good value. The problem is that cartomizers typically go bad faster than atomizers. And with LR setting they go bad even faster. However, I've been using the same 3 cartomizers for the past 2 weeks and have not had one die or go bad.

3. Juice that has a higher PG means more Throat hit. Juice that has higher VG means more vapor. Typical vapers use at least 50/50 PG:VG ratio. Most people find 70/30 PG/VG is best. 100 PG will get you great TH, but little vapor. 100 VG will give you great vapor but little TH.
You can also add a drop or two of PGA (pure grain alcohol (i.e. Everclear)) to your liquid to increase throat hit.

Variable Voltage mods are cool. But they're expensive, not for newbies, and usually limited to one or two suppliers. An eGo/riva system can be found from dozens of suppliers. And all parts are interchangeable.
