Hello I am new here, in the past I would come here and lurk and look at tips and tricks on ecigs. After many attempts of trying to use the ecig, either I stray due to stress of exams in school, or lack of funds and wind up falling off the wagon. Recently my husband is in the process of quitting/trying to stay quit and I am trying to get back on the ecig, and needing advice on how to stick with using the ecig this time and not drive him or myself nuts. The model I have is the encore and I will say of all the ones I have tried I do like this model the best. While I know it is day one of trying to switch back to ecig, how long does it take apron to get used to using it over those terrible analogs? Any advice is greatly appreciated. I am unsure if this is the right place to post this, so if I posted this in the wrong place I do apologize.

Thx.

I was going to suggest trying a wide selection of juice flavors and strengths, but I now that I see the link they only have 5 flavors, max out at 24mg, and are prefilled cartos only. I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to go with that hardware.

I made the switch because I found a flavor that was satisifying along with my nicotine and vapor. Really liking what I was vaping made the switch so effortless I forgot to smoke one day and I no longer have a desire to light up another cigarette. I have nearly a full carton sitting around for over 2 years that I really should just throw away...

Totally agree with Hoosier.. finding a flavor you like is key! And I recommend starting with a higher strength nicotine to satisfy your craving for that.. is your hardware 808 or 510 threads? You aren't stuck buying from one supplier, there are so many out there.. I feel that even if you cut your analogs back for a while you're still ahead of the game.. once you find what you like to vape, you'll drop those analogs for good. Don't believe that one carto is equal to a pack of analogs either,, that's garbage. Half a pack, if you're lucky,,, depending on how you use it. The last thing I recommend is to get enough stuff!!! You don't want to be two weeks into it and suddenly run out of cartos.. that's a sure way to find yourself at the corner store! Good luck and much success to you!

serielda,

I did a little google-ing about the model you have, and found on a different forum, that they were 99% sure that it's a kr808 model.

Does it look like the kr808 pictured below?

Note: Yours might not have the manual power button.

I agree with the others about not driving yourself nuts about when you'll completely stop smoking. Just remember; one cig not smoked is one more step in the right direction!

Hi and welcome to the forum ,I had trouble quitting too.As soon as you get stressed you reach for that cig. I refused to stress myself over it,just keep on using the e cig when you can and eventually you won't want to smoke.Don't get yourself all up upset over it.Take the vets advice they know, they've been through the same thing. Good Luck

The models I am looking at do give me 2 batteries, I just double checked. and that the model featured above does look similar. I guess I will have to do the trial by error thing. I just know encore's prices for carts was outrageous.

The only thing I can add is depending on what "starter kit" you bought you may need more batteries. It looks like most of their "kits" only come with one battery as a standard. At a minimum you need two batteries if you are looking to completely cut out analogs. Welcome to ECF!

Check out the KGO from hoosier E cigs. It is about the size of a sharpie marker and has tons of ways to deliver juice because it has a 510 threaded connection. The batteries last all day and I really do think it will up your success chances. It has a great price as well. Good luck. You can PM me if you need any more help with this.

OMG! I just looked at the encor.. Run! Don't walk the other way. It's a money pit!!! The Kgo is 44 dollars and has bigger batteries. It's very tried and true in this community. If you must have a cig sized PV than go with the volt from smokless image. Your best bet is still the Kgo tho. Also you can refill your own cartomizers (the part that looks like the cig filter and holds the juice) for wayyyyyy cheaper than that thing that has prefilled ones. It is very easy to do. You can watch videos on how to refill cartomizers on you tube to learn how. Hope this helps.

As everyone here has said it is true. You need more than one battery so that you don't "wait" for that one battery to charge and in doing so you go out and take a drag on an analog. They are also correct on flavorings. If you find one you like it will ultimately pull you into it instead of pushing you to the analogs. Try a sweet flavor that you might like and go with it for a day or two using two different batteries to vape. This ultimately helped me and kept me out of the nastiness. As for the newer version 808 or 510 you are looking at I have no clue...I am myself moving away from the 510/808 into a maxi roughstack with tank so I can have battery life all day without worrying. Good luck!

Sitting down, facing forward.
I have had a problem completely putting down the cigarettes, too. After almost 50 years of nicotine that way it is hard to switch. I bought a similar kit (Prosmoke) and found both the batteries and cartridges didn't last long enough, even with a charging case, they "fell down" on me. I looked around and ordered a Volt based on reviews from here. Now, I've found a flavor that works for me as well. The Volt, with a 78mm battery and standard cartridge lasts me about a half day and with an XL cartridge, I get almost a day out of the cartridge. Overall, it is tough, no doubt about it, but once you find a combination of ecig and flavor that gives you that "satisfied feeling" the analogs, cigarettes, will just go away without a whole lot ofm effort. Keep trying, it's more than worth the effor for your health, let alone the monetary costs.
