Hey, B-more, good to see more semi-local vapers.

...but food tasted the same as always, drinks tasted the same as always, my cigs tasted the same, just couldnt really taste any of these juices.

This is what makes me think it's your taste buds. Sure, it could be your juice, your cartos, your technique or your hardware, but if you haven't noticed an improvement in your senses of taste and smell, it's probably your taste buds/nose still burnt out from smoking. Cigarettes taste absolutely horrible to me now. I started to notice an improvement at around 3 days smoke free and more of an improvement at the one week mark. (BTW,1 year smoke free for me TODAY. WooHoo.)

I believe the Volt is an auto battery. Try taking a couple primer puffs to heat up the coil before you vape. That should get you more vapor and flavor. Also, the generally recommended technique is to draw the vapor into your mouth, then inhale. Exhaling through your nose may also help with flavor.

I'm not real familiar with the kr-808 models but I do know that not all cartos are created equal. Ask around and see what other people like.

Personally, I am not a fan of the condom method of filling. Too messy, too much work, too much PITA for me. Some people love it. If you like it and it works for you, knock yourself out. I just drip, wait, drip wait, repeat as necessary. The key is to wait long enough for the juice to soak in and keep filling until it's actually full. I see you're dripping into your cartos while they're disconnected from the battery. Good idea with an auto battery.

Also not all juices are created equal. Some are more sublty flabored than others. Many vendors offer an option for extra flavor which might be right for you, at least until you get your tastebuds back.

If you can stay off the cigarettes for a few days and start to notice you can smell things you couldn't smell before, you'll get more flavor out of your juice.

+1 to staying off the smokes.
You're tastebuds will never rebound as long as you're still smoking. Most juices will taste and feel like oddly flavoured steam until you give the tastebuds a chance to recover.

Menthol is a great flavour to try in the meantime. Its the only juice that kept me vaping when I couldn't taste anything else.

Hey Anaplis, s'goin on hun? lol. Congrats on the year dude. Hopefully I can make there one of these days. I've been doin the exhale through the nose bit and it does work a lil bit better to help the flavor come through. I made a little discovery with 2 of the juices I have. One is called Virginia Menthol...very smooth, menthol is kinda mellow, on the leafy side of things. The other is Desert Ship Menthol...menthol is a little bit stronger and the flavor is one the hickory/ liquid smoke end of the spectrum. So I thought, "hey, why don't I throw some of this desert ship into that virginia menthol" And oh was that spot on for me. Sooo good. It tastes kinda like how a cig should taste. I'm going to look into those cartos and see what up with them. I do prefer the drip and fill as opposed to the condom method...no fuss no muss really. Oh, I also decided to try something else...I started drinking Gatorade to keep me hydrated (not by the gallon but just enough to keep me and my tongue from getting dried out) and it kinda helped.

I understand the frustration of no taste. I couldn't figure out what everyone was talking about with the different flavors. I had cinnamon, vanilla, and menthol as well as some fruits and tobacco. I swore I couldn't taste the cinnamon until I just took a big vape into my mouth and exhaled it all through my nose slowly. Holy cow, it about burned my nose off. Now I was convinced there really was flavor there I just couldn't taste it. I now take a couple hits into my mouth for the flavor and alternate with some deep slow vapes into my lungs for the analog feel. Now analog free almost two weeks and the taste buds in my mouth are starting to come back slowly. I just had to exhale slowly through my nose to realize there really were flavors there I just couldn't taste them. As a side note, I am realizing how much I oversalted my food while smoking. I guess just another small benefit to vaping. Stay after it and it will slowly come around, at least it is for me.

First of all, forget the catomizers, I have been vaping for 2+ years and belive me dirrect driping is the best method...hands down... I use a Joye 510 LR atomizers with a Provape1 and SuperT Percise Plus 18650... I perfer all VG due to better vapor production and I belive its better for you than PG e-liquids. My favorite e-liquid is Innovapors Ultrapure 36mg... 12mg is way to weak if you were a real smoker. 36mg is just like a cigarette in comparison, nicotine wise... If you buy some Ultrapure from Innovapor use the code...ECF20 for the discount... They only have 3 flavors...Unflavored, Regular and Menthol... and get the 36mg if you want satisfaction..........
