Hey, B-more, good to see more semi-local vapers.
...but food tasted the same as always, drinks tasted the same as always, my cigs tasted the same, just couldnt really taste any of these juices.
This is what makes me think it's your taste buds. Sure, it could be your juice, your cartos, your technique or your hardware, but if you haven't noticed an improvement in your senses of taste and smell, it's probably your taste buds/nose still burnt out from smoking. Cigarettes taste absolutely horrible to me now. I started to notice an improvement at around 3 days smoke free and more of an improvement at the one week mark. (BTW,1 year smoke free for me TODAY. WooHoo.)
I believe the Volt is an auto battery. Try taking a couple primer puffs to heat up the coil before you vape. That should get you more vapor and flavor. Also, the generally recommended technique is to draw the vapor into your mouth, then inhale. Exhaling through your nose may also help with flavor.
I'm not real familiar with the kr-808 models but I do know that not all cartos are created equal. Ask around and see what other people like.
Personally, I am not a fan of the condom method of filling. Too messy, too much work, too much PITA for me. Some people love it. If you like it and it works for you, knock yourself out. I just drip, wait, drip wait, repeat as necessary. The key is to wait long enough for the juice to soak in and keep filling until it's actually full. I see you're dripping into your cartos while they're disconnected from the battery. Good idea with an auto battery.
Also not all juices are created equal. Some are more sublty flabored than others. Many vendors offer an option for extra flavor which might be right for you, at least until you get your tastebuds back.
If you can stay off the cigarettes for a few days and start to notice you can smell things you couldn't smell before, you'll get more flavor out of your juice.
