A little help here. What brand cartomizers are good

I'm coming over from KR808D-1's and like the 510 cartomizers, but am looking for a good company with a variety of "ohm" choices to try in the 510 world.
Can somebody give me a few "links" to tried, true, tested 510 cartomizer makers with a variety of ohms?
I did use Wordup, but have no clue "who's carto's" they are selling. They worked fine.

I'm not after fancy CE2's or other type of "off standard" stuff. Just a good basic cartomizer.

(I use Bloog over in the 808 world and have mixed emotions over them, but they don't make 510 equipment.)

If you haven't tried them before, you really should try the plain old genuine joye 510 atomizers.
Yes I know that there will be others who disagree, but I like them. They work very well with regular 510 batteries, with eGo's and riva 510 batteries, and they're fairly inexpensive. You can get a 5 pack for about 8 dollars. They are harder to fill, but you can check out Cozzcon's video on YouTube and see if you want to give them a shot.

I happen to get mine at CigNot.com - a great company to deal with.

Great sites, guys.
Lotta info to digest.
I hadn't realized these were a pain to fill, and the ones I own don't need a syringe. I dripped em full, no holes. They were from Wordup.com
Either way, no prob.
Next is to see about variations in OHMs. I'm experimenting using them on KR808D-1 batteries with an adapter. A slight higher voltage from my understanding.

Thanks

I've never tried Boge's, but I've heard nothing but good about them. You'll be fine.

Very good idea to get a few different ohm ratings. Someday you may want to try a variable voltage PV, but until that happens you have to manipulate the other variables, like you are doing.

Sounds like a thumbs up.
Good.
My understanding is the KR808D-1 batteries run a 1/2v hotter than the 510's (3.7v vs 3.2v, when they settle in..not at full charge) . Generally KR's carto's run at 3.5ohm.

SO the thought was with an adapter to use 510 carto's at 3ohm, and also 2ohm and see the differences. I expect more vape at 3ohm, but expect a burn at 2ohm. I see they make 2.5ohm as well but not in Boge, or I would have ordered em for comparison.
I've tried it already but the 510 carto's were old and somewhat clogged. Even so, they fogged pretty good, but I had no clue what the old carto's were (brand OR ohm) or how old they were either. I boiled em and reused em. Not a good test.

So this could be fun.

P.I.
I'm not so much interested in using variables. I like a cig sized unit, and really don't want to deviate from it. Interesting concept but not something I would feel comfortable with in a public setting. I love the mods and the innovation, but not so much for me, unless they get the size down to a regular cig size. Even the adapter on a KR to 510 is to me, a little long in the tooth, size wise. It sits at 130mm (5.5"), with a 1ml 510 carto.

Thanks all, and especially for the links. I saved em.

Happy as a Pig in...aw nevermind.

Bottom line, earthpig, whatever works for you. There's a lot of people on here that found success with 510s or KR808Ds or M402s and never saw a reason to mess with it—and more power to 'em (I can't say I've known any; I've yet to encounter another vaper in the wild).

I started with 510s myself, because I was looking for something that would let me forget that what I was holding wasn't a real cigarette—and that wouldn't draw a crowd of onlookers. In the end, there isn't anything that would do the former, and I got over the latter. In fact, once I felt competent in what I was doing, I didn't mind explaining it to people.

Having said that, be careful with lower Ohm ratings. You'll find they'll cut into your battery life (both the amount of time you get between rechargings and between outright battery replacement).

P. I.
I kinda figured on the battery life, etc. I have some past (long past) electronics training.
The batteries are to me expendable and I have 10 or so laying around. I put a day or two a week at a kiosk, selling KR808D-1's so I end up with supposed defective batteries that really aren't . Same with standard carts (which I'm unhappy with).

I've run into those with "pig cigs" and other units . Yup, they're cool. Just not for me.
So instead of raising voltage, I'm lowering ohms, and sticking with cig sized (sorta) units.
Read about a dual coil 510 carto that also sounds interesting. Massive vapor @ <2 ohm.

Ordered the dual coils yesterday (10 carto's). So now I've got a good variety to play with.
Warning on the dual coil is they might not work with mosfet circuits in the batteries and show as a short. Well...we'll see about that. I have 808 and 510 batteries to try and fry. Love experimenting.
Told they throw incredible vapor on a 3.7v that matches other carto's in higher voltage. I take the claims and go.."yeah right, show me".
Should be fun.
I'm keeping data tallied for fun on this whole experiment.

oldjoe.
Yup looking forward to trying em. They were shipped today.
So were the dual coils from another company.

Man...Thanks again, all.

Ok
A question on the Boge 2ohm carto's
I got 5, in and fired off the first one. Horrible chemical taste to the point of masking the VG ,Johnson Creek ,Ten Cured flavor.
Tennessee Cured is a quite full pipe like flavor, and I was getting a horrible chemical taste.
Is there a pre-cleaning that needs done with these carto's? I know if so many like em, I must be doing something wrong.
I filled it with 18 drops and let her sit for a solid 1/2 hour. Ran it for an hour and it took another 10 drops + without flooding.
Taste was bad thruout all vaping. 3rd top off and it's still not that good (but slightly better).
I'm bout ready to boil it out and retry .

I'm quite curious as to what screwed up here. Running it on a standard 510 battery.

Hmmmm on first fill, it took about 30 drops on my boge 2.0 to get it fully saturated.
I left it soaking overnight before I took the very first draw.

If you just dripped 18 drops and used it 1/2 later, then that would've been the problem.
Then every night I just top off with a few drops.

I didn't have to do any pre-cleaning at all.

Thanks Francis_a
Figured it out. Not enough fluid and I got anxious with it.
Found out it was horribly burnt, but gotta say I never tasted that in a burnt carto before. The coil cooked so bad the batting wouldn't even come free from it. I kept pouring more fluid down her, and it vaped well, but the taste wouldn't leave. Then I got ticked, and tore it down to find the burn.
I filled a 2nd one this morning, and got 45 drops in her. The center post filled up but I got it cleared out with a thin wire (paper clip). No gurgle when I suck on it. It's sat now for almost 1 day. This morning I'll fire it off. Chances are I'll get fluid in my mouth (hope not). Better than burning another one, though.

I had no clue they would hold that much fluid. WOW! I probably flooded it, but don't want the opposite problem again. The last one, I probably ran it dry fast and even got too anxious to try it. Thus cooking it. It only sat about 20 minutes and low on fluid.
My KR808D-1's hold 20 drops max, but if you get one with thicker batting, you can eek in a few more drops. I was treating it like them and started with 18 drops in it.

This is a learning curve on 510's for me.
