So I'm using an eGo twist, if I use a 2.5ohm DC at 4.6v is my twist adjusting watt to accommodate and put out 8.4w? ***Also, since it's a dual coil and it's actually half ohms am I calculating this wrong? Would it actually be 3.68=4.6/1.25 x 4.6 ? Does that make sense?***EDIT: nevermind on this question, I realized that each coil is 2.5 alone and together they work at half the ohms to equal 2.5 when combined.(confusing but I get it)

Does the eGo twist change wattage?
Been a long time since I studied ohms law but I kinda understand it, I'm just unsure of how the eGo is operating. I figure I need to understand these things better if I want to upgrade to a Vamo or a Provari and get a better vape.
Thanx

Hi RVLT - If I were you I would change to a single coil. If you used a 2.5 ohm dual coil its two 5 ohm coils in parallel! People who use a 1.5 ohm dual coil are running two 3 ohm coils in parallel. You get half ohms but each coil is twice the ohms of the final total.
A single coil won't put such a load on your battery.

The Ego twist changes the voltage. The watts will be determined by the voltage and resistance. This article at Discount Vapers is a good explanation of volts, ohms and resistances, and has a guide chart as well:
Undestanding resistances, LR and HV

time to toss in old reliable safe vaping chart !

i use a 650mah twist and honestly never go above 4.0 volts on it. I use mainly stardust types and Knager T3's all are 1.8-2.4 ohms The setting really depends on the juice and the atty. Some juices taste better warm and others taste better "cool." But as far as that chart stay in the green and you wont go wrong.

edit: i have no idea why the image is so small..just use the link posted above he beat me to posting it anyways :)

Thanx, I have the chart but I have a new juice that seems to taste so much better at a higher voltage even when dripping a 2.4 atty. I only got the 2.5 because that was the only pre-punched carto that was available at the nearest shop. I vape mostly VG and it seems like I have to venture slightly outside of the green sometimes to get good vapor.
Will the dual coil effect my battery life in the long run or just shorten it's life between charges?

Those charts are a guide, and you may find your vape is good outside of the green. That's ok. On a smaller battery like an ego twist the dual coils will affect the battery time between charges. In the long run - well those sort of pvs are usually rated as being good for about 300 charges. If you are needing to charge it more often because you are using high ohm dual coils then it is going to be charged more - so will have a shorter life in the long run. Your ego is powering two coils.
