It's been a few months since I've been on these forums but thought it's time to get back on...

I've been vaping since September last year. I started, on recommendation, with a eGo-C Twist/Vivi Nova combo (a popular choice!). After I got the itch for more, I picked up a Lava Tube and a Lil' Mama tank. Then eventually took the plunge into full on self wicking territory with an Orion v2.1. All wonderful steps and all great improvements on the last, I found.

After that, I found I didn't need more. I stopped spending money on new devices, found a couple of juices that I really liked and the right voltage, ohmage for each and settled in. Mostly why I stopped visiting here so frequently was that I found my 'sweet spot' and was pretty content.

Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, the O-Rings broke on my Orion. The local hardware store didn't stock the right sizes and while waiting for some time to have a good look online, I fell back on the Lava Tube. All was well, until I realised I only had one carto left! OK, I thought, next weekend I'll look for those O-Rings AND stock up on cartos for the tank. That last carto ran for 2 days before dying on me (meh, bad luck, it happens) and so I dusted of the Twist after some months of neglect.

Wow. I completely forgot about this little guy. As I started to vape at my desk I completely forgot about the fantastic taste it could give out, the wonderful clouds of vapour and completely clean and easy use. It's a dream to use and I feel bad for neglecting it for so long. So much so, I ordered (along with those O-Rings and cartos) another 1000Mah Twist and some new Vivi Nova heads and have vowed to keep it in daily rotation. I've learned the hard way how taking bigger, more complicated setups out of the house (especially to bars...) can end up so the Twist wins my heart again.

Now, of course, I wouldn't say it is better than the Orion at all. That thing is a vapour producing tank when set correctly. But for what the Twist is, how much it costs and how easy it is to use? It does what it does so damn well.

Like I said, I haven't been on here that much recently (and I've got to get back to work now!) so I'm not sure if there is a new kid on the block that rivals it but I couldn't recommend the Twist more to both beginners and experienced vapers who need an anytime/any place device.

Godspeed, little guy. Keep fighting the good fight. ;)

I jumped straight from ego style batteries as well to larger vv/ vw devices. I have recently found that those egos work great for the situations you listed above. By your recommendation I think I will order a twist (probably an altsmoke spinner), and see how she goes. Any recommendations as far as maH (650, 900,1000)?

Any advise would be very helpful

Thanks

Yup. Everything else is gathering dust. I have several now - and see my recent post on dropping one in the bathtub (no problem). I've dropped 'em on tile and generally manhandled 'em and really this is such a splendid, sturdy and pretty device. (Check out the red one if you can find one - it's a very satisfying, satiny, elegant metallic-red.)

Pretty much the same here. Started with 901 kit, jumped straight to a ZMax, then got few regular eGos for stealth vaping and backups, then got an eVic.

I got my first Twist bout 2 weeks ago at a vape meet as a "door prize". I LOVE it. Its small enough to carry in a pocket, but the VV takes the eGo bettery to a whole different level of performance. Granted, it's no eVic (or even a ZMax) but it's become my "go-to" small-format mod.

My only complaint is my 47-year-old eyes have trouble seeing the setting marks on the twist knob. I'll DEFINITELY be buying more VV eGo-style batteries, but I'll probably go with the Vision Spinner, because the numbers and marks are bigger and easier to read, especially in low light.

Yup, that's the only drawback of the twist for me as well. I'll buy spinners in the future for sure.
