Hey everyone,
I am not a new vaper per se, nor am I new to ECF, but it just dawned on me that I have never posted! Kind of hard to post in the modder's section when you don't post elsewhere right? ;-)
I have been smoke free since 1/1/11, and I have used the forum (and the general weath of info available) to create a few mods that have saved me a ton of money and improved by health. I started on a pair of eGos, one of which still works strong and I pull out on occasion...

One of my little quirks is that I tend to dive headfirst into new things... Within 3 weeks of starting to vape, I took an old microsoft intellimouse and modded it to take a 14500, clicky button still intact. It wasn't practical, but it resparked my passion in electronics. There is a 15 second youtube vid under this nickname showing me vaping it, LOL.

These days, I'm more into my boosted VV 18650 box mod that I made using a couple of PTN04050C threads around, which varies from 3.99-5.4V (For the record I used 2 20k resistors between pins 3 and 4 to get this range with no diode, and otherwise followed the pictorials, for which the links elude me at the moment). I have actually built a version of this for a new vaper at work, and will be building one for my father's girlfriend who is also enthisuastic to join us and stop smoking analogs!

I have a few personal projects in mind that I will hopefully be able to build as pictorials and share with everyone, providing they work well enough!

So with that said, the silence is broken! I hope I can contribute something here for all to use soon.

Here's a pic, this is just your basic VV PTN04050C boosted mod, with an 18650 SMD battery holder (I just like the tabs on it), goodprophets 6A button & 510 connector, a finishing washer as a drip well, and no inbuilt voltage indicator -- she never owned a mod and told me to calibrate it to 4.4V to make it less confusing :)
I also used a different kind of glue (Loctite stick and seal I believe) which is super strong, but it made a bit of a mess as you can see on the cover, where I glued a couple neodymium magnets.
