I use to have a lot of problems with the ego charger being a naturally sloppy person, I overfilled my cartos, did not clean the ends and then put the battery on the charger, short it out, which would cases the next battery I put on the charger to short out too- etc, etc.

Then in September of 2010 I discovered the ego passthrough battery, I believe it had just come out,
and for me it was just brilliant.

I stlll use them as mt main go-to battery, as it is an ego type that keeps the e-liquid away from the charging element.

That eGo-RS is interesting. I'll have to check it out. I've realized the main problem I'm having with the standard eGo chargers. It's the red/green indicator LED. I have a red-green color deficiency and it's VERY difficult for me to perceive the different states in a bicolor LED that is red/green. No doubt, this has led to me over tightening the battery, leading to failure of the charger. Plus, they're flimsy as hell, heh. It sure would help folks like me if they'd use blue/green, or blue/red ... but, we're less than 10% of the population so I'm not going to hold my breath. Even though, I can do that much better now than I could three years ago. :)

I never liked using ego chargers either so I switched to Passthroughs.

I really like the idea of that eGo RS...

It's funny - people on here have ridiculed the ego for having a fixed batt, but since they've come out with the RS, I've never heard of anyone buying them.

I think ego people are happy with fixed batts and replaceable batt people aren't going to use something that has such a small batt.
