If you read and comprehend what I posted, you would see that I did just that.

Sorry Mudflap... you said "to measure the resistance between the firing pin and the atty connector, you place one lead on the firing pin and the other on the center hole at the bottom of the atty connector."

The firing pin to the center of the of the atty connector does not go through aluminum. This should yield 0 ohm... We are measuring from the spring at the bottom of the mod not the firing pin, and the side of the connector, not the center...

The first thing I posted in this thread was:

I just measured the resistance in my Grand in the same manner described in the OP.

You have latched on to a subsequent post I made in answer to a question for your own reasons.

I assure you I know the path of current in my mod and how to measure the resistance of those pathways.

I don't think there was any intent to insult you, just an assumption based on you getting a zero ohm reading...which is pretty neat. Do you have any theories about why you are getting a zero reading (aside from Rob's magic mojo :))?

My theory is that aluminum is an excellent conductor and my meter is on the cheap side of quality meters.

I'm sure there is SOME resistance, but it's probably less than 0.1 Ω.

Hmmmm...I haven't measured mine yet (polished), but maybe I should expect the polished to conduct better than the anodized?

OK. Operation hack Reo Grand failed... Unless I drill through the Aluminum behind the plastic thingy, there is no way to get a decent connection to the atty connection.. and I am not willing to drill ! I love it as it is and keeping it as it is !

Sorry that failed, gamedemon. I wasn't even willing to open mine up....you are braver than I. Lucky for me, MX finally opened one of his up so I could see the stuff. :) My curiosity has been satiated.
