BTW, if anyone has any suggestions of high-calorie, high-sugar, high-carbohydrate, low-nutrient foods, I would love to hear them. Anything with a vegetable will be disqualified, unless said vegetable is battered and fried.

Why straight sugar my dear. It answers all your needs. Perhaps some sugar crusted sugar balls? Or Rock Candy dusted with powdered sugar?

Get some Gummy Bears, roll them in powdered sugar, then batter them and fry 'em up. If you can fry ice cream, you can fry gummy bears. Ice cream is disqualified because it has some nutrient value - protein.

LOL: sugar-crusted sugar balls. I take your point about protein in ice cream, but while sugar is very good carbohydrate-wise, it does lack fat. I'm thinking that deep-fried butter rolled in powdered sugar and topped with chocolate syrup shows promise...

Used to go on down to Glamis a lot with the dune buggy !

Love p'butter and nanna sandwiches !

Never been to Glamis. Lived here 20 years now and haven't even been out to see the fault line, or the Living Desert. Should get my behind in gear, eh?

I love PB and bananas, eat it sometimes without the bread.

Also love honey and peanut butter, but, I have to let the honey sit on the bread for a bit so it get's that crystallized, crunchy texture - yummy!

I like one of those sponge cakes with the ridge around the edge for tarts..then fill with berries strawberry or blueberry glaze or jello and whip cream!

They are so cute!

Hot dogs and brats cooked on the grill and a salad.

I crave this---my husband just doesn't get it.

grinding up left over pork and beef roast for tacos !

Classy, do you have an actual meat grinder, or how do you do that? I never thought of that and would like to do it.

Ha ha, the last time I went to Glamis dune buggying, my BF and I were having so much fun and wanted to stay an extra day. We went to the little store for supplies in the morning. I used the outside phone booth there to call in "sick leave" at my workplace. Wasn't too convincing when a couple of guys fired up their buggys to leave while I was trying to talk. Ooops.:laugh:

One night, I didn't have much in the house, so I had a thrown together meal. I didn't feel like leaving the house and I just felt lazy after being at work all day. It was surprisingly good!

Oven preheated at 350 degrees. I sliced smoked sausage and cooked it a a shallow pan and put in some peach-bourbon barbecue sauce. Then I whipped up a large batch of boxed mashed potatoes (told you I was being lazy). I put the potatoes in a baking dish. Lattice some ranch dressing over the top, then I put the sausage and sauce on top. Baked for 15 min.
It was good for a throw together.
