Someone gave me some fresh green beans so I'm waiting for them to get done before sending DH to the grill.

You just made me want fresh green beans and new potato's...and throw in some ham!!!

Leftovas! My family actually devoured them instead of them becoming science projects in my fridge.

I don't miss having those in the fridge

DH had a grilled sandwich with steak fries and I had taquitos.

That I'll be able to do after son moves out. The boy can just be a pain cause he wants a meal!!!

Hi ladies, new here! Just reading thru this thread made me hungry...well maybe not the last few lol. Am I the lone low carber here? If so, I'm in big trouble!! :)

Last night I made a pizza with a zucchini crust (finding a myriad of ways to use this stuff up lol), sausage, pepperoni, onions and loads of cheese. That'll be dinner for tonight too. I won't know what to do when the zucchini stops coming!!

I'm a slow-carber every day but Saturday, so you're not alone. I basically eat fish, vegetables and beans for every meal. I have also lamented that I wish I could eat like the ladies on this thread. They just kill me. THEY KILL ME!!

But...
Saturdays are my cheat day, so all bets are off. I have already started making preparations for tomorrow. I have Twix, cheese popcorn and Dr. Pepper ready to rock.

I've tried the cheat day and I just can't do it. I can't get back on track. I look forward to reaching my goal so I can start introducing a few carbs back into my diet...I really miss toast! Is there a toast flavored juice?? LOL!

Oh, then you weren't doing it right. A proper binge leaves you so grossed-out by the sight of junk that you are more than happy to get back to eating real food. I make a concerted effort on Saturdays to get plenty of trans fat, artificial flavors, preservatives and high fructose corn syrup. It's not for the weak. Just watching me eat on Saturday will make your stomach hurt.

I don't know of a toast-flavored juice, but I LOVE waffle juice. It's a great carb fix.

I detest fish..except for fried catfish and a once in a while grilled trout. But I love broc! beans kill me and those near me..don't bother to suggest beano..I can take a bottle ofit before and another after! No joy.
here's a trout recipe that is really good!

Trout Russo or Russian trout (no idea how this rescipe ended up in Cuban restaurants!)
6 -9 trout fillets
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
2 eggs, well beaten
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups toasted breadcrumbs, pulverized
2 tablespoons corn oil or 2 tablespoons peanut oil
1/4 lb butter, soft
2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped fine
1/3 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
2 tablespoons pimiento, finely chopped
2 lemons, sliced thin (optional)
Directions:

Rub the salt and pepper into the trout.

Combine the RAW eggs and milk.

Dip fillets into egg/milk mixture, then cover with breadcrumbs.

Heat oil to medium heat, using just enough oil to keep the fillets from sticking to the pan.

Combine the butter, hard cooked eggs, parsley and pimiento, mixing into a soft paste. Keep warm.

Cook the trout on the grill for about 5 minutes on each side, until a nice golden brown color. Put the trout onto the plates, spread the warm butter/egg paste over the fillets.

If desired, place lemon slices on top.

Don't let her fool you; she left the Ben and Jerry's off her list!

Tonight is pizza made with a Boboli crust and a green salad.
