LOL ! Had a HUGE lunch about 2:30 ! Chips & salsa, chili relleno, rice and beans ! Yum !

I love lots of different kinds of food, but I always come "home" to Mexican.....love it!

I'm totally excited about tonight. I am eating Italian with a club I belong to at a local restaurant I've never been to before. It's new and it's supposed to be authentic. I'm back in Texas, so I haven't had good Italian in forever and I'm really excited.

BTW, for those of you keeping track, I've had a submarine sandwich (white bread, extra mayo), cheese popcorn, two Dr. Peppers, a sugar cookie and some ice cream thus far today. And even though I'm going to a nice restaurant tonight, I won't be abandoning my responsibilities. What I don't get in artificial flavors or preservatives, I will make up for in fat, carbs and calories. I won't fail you, comrades.

I traded some of my homegrown basil pesto for something my neighbor made. She is from Taiwan and has never had pesto, and I had never tried the stuff she gave me. They are sticky dough things (sort of like pot-sticker consistency, but already cooked) filled with mushrooms, some kind of sauce, chives and other vegetables from her garden. They are about the size of a dinner roll. I asked her what they are called and she said, "I don't know - we just call them buns"....as in the American term for a roll. I got a good laugh out of that.
