The Buzz Welcome to NotCigs you can get a blemished one for under $90

Little sister: Box Mods $65

keep in mind these type of mods require batteries, in most cases sold separately. 2 sets of batteries and a charger average 25 to 40 bucks.

also don't come with attys, cartos, juice etc unless you buy a kit that includes them. or make sure that yours are compatible

Variable voltage mods are ones that have adjustable voltage like the Buzz and Little Sister, not ones that accept different battery combinations. You might want to reask your question and not specify variable voltage. Based on the title you’ll only get folks ready to recommend a true variable voltage model. It would also improve the recommendations if you included more info on what you’re using now, your preferences and a more exact price range.

I’ll give another endorsement for the Buzz by the way. I’m very happy with mine.

I read some reviews, watched some youtube vid reviews, and decided on a passthrough. I want the higher voltage experience, without a big price tag. I picked one up from Vapor Kings, one that doesn't require a separately-sold battery, just runs on straight 5v. It's in the mail and on the way. I hope it works well for me.

My only concern with a USB passthrough like the one that Vaporkings.com sells is that they say to use a USB power source that provides 1000mah, but USB 2.0 provides 500mah on PCs. My girlfriend has a USB wall adapter for her ipod, maybe that will work better than a USB port on my computer. Too bad I can't change the USB voltage in the BIOS like I can the northbridge, RAM, PCI-E, and CPU.
