A Nicotine Concern - Solved

Hiya! I'm quite new to vaping, I have been doing it for about 2 weeks now. I use an eGo-C Twist battery with an Aspire CE4 Atomizer.

The e-juice I bought concerns me. I don't want to vape with nicotine, I think that it's harmful and just ruins the taste(I have tried it with and without nicotine). I used a 6ml sample of 0mg Island Fruit ejuice, but that's gone. I ordered Juishy Brand "Arctic Vanilla Ice" from http://www.vapes.com, and I WAS certain I selected 0mg nicotine concentration, but I'm not quite sure.

I got it the other day, cleaned my tank, grabbed the new coil I ordered, and set it up. One of the things I noticed was a sharper throat hit in the back of my throat. I don't think I feel a peppery taste, but I could be wrong.

I REALLY want to avoid nicotine - Is there any chance that the eJuice has nicotine?

If you didn't have the habit then why start?

It is likely that the "ice" portion of your liquid is menthol.
Menthol will increase throat hit.
That is probably what ur noticing. Cheers.

If the bottle label reads Zero it probably is, costs them Xtra money and work to add Nic. Could be your coil adding harshness.

It is highly unlikely to contain Nicotine.
Logically, one has to actively measure out (and use) the Nicotine base liquid when making e-liquid even on a large scale.
Zero Nic is just a mix of PG/VG and flavor.
I could believe a small company accidentally having a mix up, like a shop that adds flavor to ready-made liquids, maybe... at a push.

A CE4 isn't exactly the sort of atomizer for avoiding harshness (or gaining flavor) either. Old-tech Silica wicks are far from smooth i.m.o.
Also, 70% VG probably won't work very well, so you'll burn out the coil and 70% PG will be rather harsh, especially coupled with the CE4.

Get a better atomizer. Use more VG. Fixed.

I'll definitely look into some different atomizers once finals week calms down.

Did you order it in 70PG/30VG? If so, that, coupled wth the menthol in the ice portion of the mix, will definitey cause a sharp and almost unbearable throat hit.

As r77r7r stated, what sort of price range were you looking at? Removable battery or internal? Prebuilt coils or would you like to take a stab at building yor own?

Size doesn't really matter to me, I'd like tube for now, and under $50 if possible. Needless to say, lower prices are always nice.

Internal Battery, and Prebuilt Coils for now. Eventually, I'll learn to build my own, but I'd rather wait until I'm a little more experienced.
