First, let me say that I have been only been vaping since Thanksgiving - so not quite 2 months. I'm pretty new to all this, and my thanks go out to all of you who have advised me through this.

I decided to try the 3.5 ml Dual Coil Tank after SnowDragon and Morandir's reviews and excitement about it. I've come to trust their wisdom and experience, and for 10 bucks, figured it would be worth a try.

I have to admit, for a noob, the tank was a bit intimidating. I kind of looked at it thought, I'm supposed to fill this and NOT get juice everywhere? Yeah, right. I watched SnowDragon's video again and proceeded to carefully, carefully - pretty much get juice everywhere. Hey! It was my first time. Maybe next time will go better. I do suggest that if you have never worked with a tank before you fill it over the sink the first couple of times. I did, and I'm glad I did, as it made cleanup much easier. After filling and pushing the carto back into place, I was careful to wipe everything down, and make sure I could see through the carto (I couldn't, and had to lookup Snow's advice on how to fix that).

Having filled (sort of) the tank with my favorite Dunhall, at 11 mg today, I then I got my favorite King Diamond XL Manual, screwed the tank on, took a long, slow draw on the tank. OMG this thing is awesome! Dunhall on the 3.5 ml tank has flavor I had never discovered before! And some amazing throat hit. Clouds of vapor, awesome taste, excellent mouth feel, and some much needed throat hit to go along with it. I need a dozen more of these things! I honestly cannot describe the difference in using this, and using a regular cool cart. The juice just seems to have so much more from this carto and tank. I can't wait to get more of them and try more flavors!

Now, a couple of noob things - my tank continues to leak. It's leaked on my hands, on my battery, on the table when I set it down, etc. I'll have to watch Snow's video again, and re-read his post about leaky tanks (again) and see if I can resolve that. It also seems to be going through an awful lot of juice. I don't know how much has just been leaked out, and how much has been vaped up, but I didn't think I was hitting it that much, and I'm almost ready for a refill. I'll have to pay attention and see if I go through juice faster on this. I'm guessing yes, what with the dual coils and all. I also haven't been able to get it to work on my passthrough, which I have plugged into a V4L adapter plugged directly into the wall. I don't know if it is not making good contact, or not providing enough amperage. I don't have problems with the passthrough with any other carto, and I haven't had problems with the tank on any of my Diamond or Stealth batteries, so I'm guessing it is specifically the Tank on the passthrough. I have another passthrough at work, and will try that tomorrow.
Battery charge life definitely takes a hit with this thing. I have NOT been chain vaping, and I can already tell that my KD XL is getting close to needing a charge, where one XL usually lasts from the time I get home, until I go to bed.

It also remains to be seen if I get as much flavor / feel / throat hit first thing in the morning. I always have trouble getting good TH in the morning, so I'm hopeful, and will let you all know what I find tomorrow. Hopefully, I can also learn how to use / fill the tank without making a mess.

Bottom line, though, is that this thing has been so good tonight, I'm already on my way to V4L to order some more!

Special thanks to SnowDragon and Morandir, without whom I would not have tried this, and would have no idea how to operate it! Thanks for all you do for this forum and users on it.

Glad to hear you like the tank!

Regarding the leaks, there could be a few culprits there. Is juice leaking near the flange and tank or from the bottom of the carto hole? If near the flange you could have a damaged o-ring, which is what keeps the carto sealed against the side of the tank. If from the bottom of your carto, refer to this thread by Snow:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vapor4life/258971-help-my-tank-leaking-dont-panic.html

If you discover that your tank is leaking out from the battery connector air hole...don't panic! Simply remove the tank from the battery, turn the tank upside down, wipe off the battery and the carto connector thoroughly. This is caused by juice flooding the air wick tube and juice will start to siphon the tank through the feeder holes.

By turning the tank upside down the feeder holes will be exposed to air which will stop the siphoning action and stop the leak.

Just like a standard cartomizer you should always be able to look through the cartomizer to see that the air tube is clear. If there is juice in the air tube that you want to remove simply remove the tank from your battery. Take a doubled over piece of tissue or paper towel, place it over the Drip Tip and give it a couple hard draws. Do not attempt to blow it out as this will pressurize the tank causing the juice to leak out of the air tube.

Also make sure you're taking slower, measured draws while vaping. I've found that taking harder draws can sometimes cause the carto to replace juice faster than it can vaporize. This causes flooding and usually leads to leaking.

Hope that helps :2c:

Bravo!!! Excellent Review!!! :2cool:

Don't feel alone, I couldn't get it work on my Passthrough either, but I have the Version 1 giant wall wart and not the Slim USB. I was told by Morandir that it worked on his newer Slim USB the difference between 2.0A and 3.0A USB.

As for the leaking, it just sounds like the carto is flooded. The trick is to keep juice out of the Carto when you fill the tank, then add around 10 drops, give it a very light dry hit just enough to feel a little resistance to fill the bottom of the Carto. You should even see the juice level in the tank drop a little as the Carto fills up on a first fill with a fresh Carto.

Anytime juice is flowing out of the Carto air hole, it's flooded just like any carto. In the video you see I get a little juice into the carto, it happens, it just wasn't a lot which is fine as it was a fresh fill and absorbed into the polyfill. This is why I don't flood the Carto first until it spills over into the tank as per the instruction on the website.

It's not your imagination, part of what is giving you that awesome hit is the fact that you are indeed vaping more juice. You have 2 1.5ohm atomizers running in parallel. A Wow Carto is 2.2ohm with a single atomizer so you are looking at 30% higher vape rate. If you generally use a Cool Carto, you have an approx. 60% higher vape rate. These numbers also relate to power drain on your battery...but as you noted...the flavor, TH, and vapor production are well worth the shortened performance times.

Like everything it takes a little practice, but you'll get it....kudos for being brave! In a day or two you'll be using a tank like a pro.......

That is correct TheScootness sir. So far the slim line wall adapter is the only item I've been able to get it to vape on, and that has been hit or miss with further testing. The one I have at home, works. The big style one doesn't. Some of the slim lines here won't work either. It's a luck of the draw type thing it seems.

Loveridden, SnowDragon, plarkinjr, Morandir, TheScootness, and keyzygirl, thank you all for your kind words!

As of this morning, I have to say that I am in love with this tank. I always seem to have trouble getting over my morning craving for TH. This tank absolutely blasted that craving this morning. It tastes and feels just as good this morning as it did last night.
I might have the leakage issue worked out, too, as I have not had leakage since last night. Thanks to Snow for his instructions on that!

Slight downside of this - the pt I have here at work, with a slim usb wall plug, does not power the tank. I brought 2 XLs and 2 Regs with me today, and an extra charger just in case. Keeping these tanks powered might be a bit of a challenge.

And something I didn't think of last night - this tank burns juice faster to provide that great TH and vapor and mouth feel, which I love. But if you are burning more juice you are also burning more nicotine :) Had the shakes a bit when I went to bed last night, and took a little bit to get past the nicotine stimulant rush so I could sleep. If you aren't Morandir, with an amazing capacity for nicotine, and you are the type that likes to chain vape, you might want to run a lower nic juice in this thing.

Why am I always the poster boy for high nic/chain vapers? :)
No offense intended, but 13ml a day of 36mg!?!? I'm surprised you vape and don't just have it on an IV pole you drag around with you! That's a LOT of nicotine, my friend!
I hate to imagine what your lungs must have felt like when you were smoking that much.
