You know, a lot of the chemicals listed in cigarette smoke are a bi-product of burning, and not actually added by the cigarette manufacturers.

But look at the list of various oils that are actually added to cigarette tobacco ... I stopped copying and pasting as soon as I got just to the oils starting with the letter "D".

Why in God's name would they need to add this many oils? ... No wonder cigarettes cost so much!

Jeeeze, they even add "Carrot Oil" and "Celery Oil" .... There not making soup are they?

Almond Bitter Oil
Amyris Oil
Angelica Root Oil
Anise Star Oils
Asafetida Oil
Bay Leaf Oil
Bergamot Oil
Buchu Leaf Oil
Butter Oil
Cananga Oil
Caraway Oil
Carrot Oil
Cascarilla Oil
Cassia Bark Oil
Cassie Oil
Cedar Leaf Oil
Cedarwood Oil
Celery Oil
Chamomile Flower Oil
Cinnamon Leaf Oil
Citronella Oil
Clary Oil
Coconut Oil
Copaiba Oil
Coriander Oil
Corn Oil
Costus Root Oil
Cubeb Oil
Davana Oil

Shakes head in disbelief !

I find it interesting that this lists both PG and Glycerol as ingredients in a cigarette. It makes sense somewhat when considering what Flt Simulation said about the oils they add, as both can be used as solvents for such.

Still, pretty handy to prove in an argument that unless your ADV is flavored with anthrax, vaping is healthier.

This is only true if you vape your own unflavoured mix of pg, vg, nico and water. Flavourings contain tons of ingredients and, just like in cigarettes, some of them change into other chemicals when heated.
Yes, the chemicals in flavoring could be many, and are varied. The use of flavoring is probably the biggest unknown in ecig use. As for the heating causing reactions, it could, but it's not really the same as the combustion reaction in cigarettes.

I want to see the chemical list for vaping strawberry - cream - mint, to put this thread into perspective.

Putting things the way vapers often do, a cigarette is simply paper and tobacco, and nothing else.

Hey hey hey! We're trying to maintain a 'vaping is super' echo chamber. You are harshing our non-carcinogenic, organic, free-range buzz here.

Well that's gone a long way to convincing me to steer clear of analogues in future. Can't STAND celery!

You might reconsider that, there's some great health benefits for men with celery :D

and adding that those ingredients in ciggies, combustion byproducts, but either way yeah it's not good!! I saw a pic that a Vape Shop has a list of that on their back wall over their ejuice selections. *lol*
