There are countless discussions on the ECF wondering why so few vapers
are noticed e-smoking in public.

One reason is most are vaping an analog style PV and it is almost impossible
to know they are a PV from a distance.

Another reason ... Most vapers are reluctant to openly vape Power Vape machines
that one might see in a Star Wars bar in public ... The public can NOT be expected
to know they are just a different style of an Electronic Cigarette.

In many discussions ... several have posted ... "In public I vape an analog style PV
but elsewhere I vape my favorite power vape machine."

We can argue all ya want about why our power vape machines are better ...
Makes no difference to the bottom line. There are very good reasons why
analog PVs are and will continue to be the "mainstream" choices for PVs.

Yea I never got that. I am not ashamed to take the Provari anywhere. As a matter of fact I no longer use anything else! I Vape loud and proud as long as I am not breaking any laws!

I have a power vape machine and also e-smoke everywhere.
However, it is painfully obvious ... We are not in the majority.
Tons of thread in the E-cigarette in Public form discussing this subject.
The majority just don't feel comfortable e-smoking in public ...
especially when using MODs and or Power Vape Machines.

Type A personalities have few to no issues ...
The bottom line stays the same ...
Mainstream e-smokers prefer to e-smoke analog PVs in public...
Just the way it is ... We are not "mainstream" e-smokers.

Regardless of our arguments for our power vape machines ...
Blu/Njoy analog type PVs are the mainstream preferred choices for smokers
and I suggest they are the only type the FDA will approve.

Unfortunately I think you are right about the FDA but fortunately not about the cigalike. Thats changing here in Ireland but then again the cigalike never caught on. People bought them and either quit or went back smoking dismissing ecigs as a gimmick. Now I see egos everywhere as ecig sellers tempt the high street market and people stick with them. First off the battery lasts, they can refill them cheaply and they keep them away from cigarettes.
As long as uptake increases we have a good chance to outnumber the legislators (so tempted to mash that to legisHaters) more vapers less smokers and more power in lobbying from now better off ecig producer, retailers and users.

People hiding the things that work arent doing anyone any good. The more devices people see the more exposure they get and the more the market can grow. You are right tho, an observation from other threads.....people leave the real goodies at home!!

That, I fear, is reality.

I always use my APV and get lots of question, especially from smokers who gave up ciglikes. I don't know what Njoy and the like do when most have tried and dismissed their products.

So far, when out and about, I have seen more Egos than cig-a-likes.
But that doesn't factor in how many tried a cig-a-like and went back to smoking.
I personally don't recall seeing anyone other than those I've converted using e-cigs. Like I've mentioned before my friends at Quick Check tell me they are selling a bunch of blu. It is encouraging that you see many using ego's. I guess I have to get out more!!!

I happen to use an ego in public frequently, and have noticed that egos are quite popular down here in FL. I only use one cig-alike (I don't really like how they look with me and I was a pipe smoker previously anyway) and that is the Njoy King but thats for back up only. Of course there are a few people using Blus, but they seem to graduate to ego style batts quickly. But I would say that vapers are still outnumbered 9 to 1 down here. :(

I think these are the "preferred choice" of many smokers because these are the ONLY choice for many smokers. Too many smokers only have access to their local smoke shop or convenience store. I am claiming to be new to vaping(and I do consider myself to be just that) but I tried to quit analogs 4 years ago by using the e cigarette a friend was selling. It only was available with "tobacco" flavors. I failed miserably, but now that I have found the vaping community and am learning about the options available today, I think I can do it.

I started vaping blu disposables from the gas station. I didnt even know there were better PV's available. I was about to order a blu kit when I stumbled upon this forum. Gas station disposable cigalikes stopped me from smoking and started me vaping. The clerk at the gas station told me they sell like hotcakes, and they can barely keeps blu's in stock.

I encourage everyone to use their PVs in public. That's how I discovered all of this. I had heard of e cigs but never seen one and pretty much dismissed them based on my perception of what I thought they were. After I saw a guy at a meeting with an eGo on a lanyard and got to talking about his experience, I realized that maybe there was hope for me!
