I've got a weird request. I'm sure it doesn't really belong here, but since it's related to media I'm putting it here.
I have an alias Facebook account for ecig stuff. I've been commenting on articles, but I don't think the comments are showing up. I think it's because my alias account doesn't have any friends. I'm a member of several ecig groups on that account, but no friends. If you have a Facebook account and you wouldn't mind adding another vap friend, please look me up. My name for that account is Spazmelda Whee, Cincinnati. If anyone can think of another reason my comments aren't showing up on news articles, like some sort of privacy setting or something, please let me know.

Saw something on TV the other day about Phoney Facebook accounts
people use to protect their identity. Sooo, you are probably correct
with your reasoning why your posted comments are not accepted.
You have to "give away" your identity and what little privacy you have left
in order to participate.

I think it has to do more with Facebook policies than Obama
. I don't like that comment sections on many pages have gone to using Facebook though. I like disqus. I can keep that separate from Facebook.Mommie Government loves Facebook, Twitter, and all the other popular

I have a facebook account only to be able to comment on ecig-related articles, so no friends, no facebook page, no personal info listed, privacy settings set to overkill etc. Have noticed on several sites that after posting a comment to an article, and then going back to read more comments, my comment doesn't show up *unless I'm logged onto my FB account.* As soon as I login again to FB, my comment miraculously reappears.
Not sure if this is what's happening to you. Just thought I'd add this observation into the equation.
Now, I'm off to take another poll!!
Yes, that is what happens. I can see it if I'm logged onto that Facebook account, but I don't think other people can see it. For example, I commented on the article in this thread, and I don't think it shows up for anyone except myself. I went to the comment faqs for that particular newspaper, and it says something about having to have at least 4 friends on Facebook for comments to appear. I haven't looked at other news outlet commenting faqs yet, but it could be a similar situation. I've made comments on maybe 15-20 articles since I set up this Facebook alias, and I don't think any are showing up.
