A question about the evics amp limit.

I was just wathing a video on youtube where the guy using the evic said he doesnt like it so much because it wont allow him to vape a 3ohm coil at any higher then 9watts. To me this just makes no sense. Can someone explain why? Shouldnt he be able to use the 5v limit? Thanks!!

Is it because the highest volts you can set is 5?

Watts = V squared divided by R

3.0ohm 9watts = 5.2 VOLTS

Yes it is the Volt limit.
Still, a Carto on 9w should be plenty.
