Just in Northern Mi. Usually below the bridge. My buddies band that I used to drum with before he moved down state plays a lot of gigs in Detroit. His band name in Recoil.

I'm sure I will figure somthing out and It has to be better than waiting for the set to be over and running outside.

Cool. I think I may have seen them.

I think when the smoking ban goes into effect here in MI I'll still vape behind the kit and just say it's part of the bands' stage show - our smoke machine.

Well it's been over three months since I posted this and now I can answer my own question. It can be done with the whistle tip but it's not like having a cig in my mouth at all. So I just stopped doing it. Being a smoker for 25 years almost evey shirt I own has a pocket in it. So what I did with a bunch of them was to sew a line down the pocket splitting the pocket so that a smaller pocket is made that fit's my 510 perfectly. Just tight enough that it won't fall out if I bend over (probalby to pick up a stick) but not so tight that it goes off. I have vaped in every place I have played except the one benifit I played it was held in a church reception hall. Even though they served drinks and lots of them too (two kegs and gallons of booze as well as cases of canned beer) The ladies up this way can really drink (it was a ladies night out). I really didn't feel comfortable. Plus I had my kit set up right by the back door and we were stopping every few songs to let them auction something off or give out prizes. E-cigs are just starting to take off around here but most people now know what they are and that it's not tobacco. Plus all of the bars that I play in have kind of a "the heck with the establishment mentality" anyway.

And PAV if it was these guys it would be them http://www.myspace.com/drecoil

Check them out they have a bunch of songs right at the top of the page to listen to, free of course. Me and my buddy used to be the band. (I sandgand played drums he played a 7 string with the bottom strings set up for bass) He was a big Local H fan hence the two man band. (one nice thing about the two man band is you have to split the money in half) He did get to open for Local H at Harpo's a while back.
