Hey guys i just got my LR atty's for my 650mah ego. I have tried it and its amazing my question is on average how long has your batteries have lasted after using low resistance atomizers. I have the 1.5omh ones. The question is referring to how long the battery lasts before it dies completely as stops working permanently, as i heard that they kill the battery faster.
A question to people who use LR atty's on EGO/Riva...

yes but all they state is that the battery might die quicker with no one actually saying how long it lasted. I am asking people how long their batteries lived after switching to low resistance from their personal experience. If you can find a thread like that then please post the link
It's not the batteries, it's the mofset that overheats and eventually dies, end result is the same though. No on can give you a definite answer on your question. The only absolute one can say for sure is the amp draw of a LR is more than the batt can deliver and it does shorten the lifespan, both between charges and overall.
Pick up a boxmod from madvapes. They are cheap and with a true 3.7v battery you won't have to worry about it and you'll really see what an LR atty is capable of.
PS..or get a 5v pass through and either a USB hub of USB/AC Adapter rated at 2.0amp output or more.

I started using LR mega atties for my different ego batts. 900/1000. I started around Thanksgiving. Its hard to say. I suppose I could estimate my theory. (My theory belongs to me btw).
I did buy orginal 650 ego batts back in July. They still hold a charge. I stopped using them when I obtained my bigger batteries.
I would say 5 months guessing and still holding a 1 hour charge.
My new batteries will only last 2-3 hours vaping at LR. Thus, I am concluding lifespan will be cut in half. So instead of 5 months I might get 2.5 months out of the battery. I am doing this as an experiment while I wait for the Infinity. I might have to break down and buy a box mod or something close. (Waiting sucks!)
Anyway I would not be alarmed if they died quicker than my theory. I had a Good Prophet LR atty last a month. Then I tried a totally wicked LR atty and it lasted 1.5 weeks. Tonight I did a massive cleaning and hopefully can restore them.
I am giving you my honest review thus far. So far, so good. Nothing has died. I did not try on a 650 battery.
Nomoreash is dead on here! Some people have had some success using LR attys on the eGo, others have had complete failure of the MOSFET switch within days of putting on LR on it. The reason is because LR attys are really meant to simulate HV vaping with a 3.7V battery. The eGo battery is usually 3.2 under load and can't handle to power put out with a LR atty.
I post this link a lot and this is going to be no exception. If you really want to try LR attys then reading this will help you understand it better, and it will make your experience much more satisfying.

I've killed 2 Riva batteries with 1.5ohm LR attys in a matter of days, but the other 2 Riva's have been doing fine with 2.0ohm attys and cartos for a couple months already, the batteries don't hit as good as they used to, but still working lol.
I've been using 2.0 Ohm LR cartomizers on my eGo for a couple months with no noticeable decrease in battery life or performance thus far. Perhaps 2 Ohms is the magic number here as it seems more people using 1.5 Ohms are experiencing problems.
Been using LR atty's on joye 900 mAh bats for about 2months now and is my everyday vape, the resistance of the atty's rangers from 1.7ohm to about 1.9ohm and I have not noticed any decrease in battery life to date. I switch between the LR510, LR306 and the LR joye megga cone atty's depending on what i feel like vaping. All good so far, but i am aware of what can happen as reported by others.
My Ego batteries (8 months old and change) haven't shown any decrease in performance. However, I do partake in a twice weekly rubbing alcohol scrub with a qtip of the connector. I do notice that crusties and uglies get in there.

Oh and I forgot to mention I only checked one battery and it was reading at 3.45. I had the hubby help me out. I will check the atties soon. One of my wires on the volt meter came off and hubby needs to solder it back.
I do want to complete this experiment. However, if I do get tempted to buy something better. Who knows? I am sure it will be a few more months for the Infinity mod. Or the Tank sounds good-tempting as well. (Distraction!)
I would not attempt on 650 or Riva batteries. I will post my finding here on forum if I can remember.
Have been using exclusively LR atty's on my eGo's since June. Carry 2 with me at all times in case of failure and keep 1 battery charging at all times. So I have been alternating three batteries for about 7 months. Using the 650 mah batteries and 1.8 ohm atty's.
So far, the batteries all work fine, and seem to hold charge as long as when they were new.
I've read that LR atty's ruin batteries but I sure haven't seen it. I suspect this may be a case of "my battery failed so it must be the atty." ( All batteries will fail eventually with ANY atty !)
Also, my battery life between charges seems about the same with a LR atty as with a normal atty. I attribute this to the fact that you don't have to hold the button down as long with a LR atty since the vapor shoots out much quicker !
The LR atty's don't last as long, however. I'm averaging about 21 days per. Got about twice the life from regular atty's, but much less vapor !
Bottom line is that I would never go back to a regular atty.
PS. One time I thought my eGo charger was bad and I used the little (200 mah? ) 510 batteries with the 1.8 ohm atty for a whole week. Once again, no problem with even these tiny batteries. They worked fine, but didn't hold their charge very long, of course.

well, I have been using LR 510s on riva batteries for a good while now, and unfortunately I have at least 5 dead batteries to show for it... but I'm still doing it,for now, as I love the combination. I order my parts in bulk direct from china to save $$
Are you ordering your batteries from China, or just the atties?

What kind of juices are the mega cart users on this thread using? I am unable to chain vape with the LR Mega Atty compared to the regular. Seems like 1 or 2 drags and I need to let it cool off, otherwise i get the nasty taste with HARSH th..
