a quick question about use/dilution of 100 mg/ml nicotine

I also am dealing with 100mg nic and am wanting to cut it down to safe levels. I originally bought 36mg nic in 100%pg with the thought that I could cut it in half and have the 18mg target that I vape. I did not think it through enough though, because even though I could easily obtain the desired 18mg strength, I usually vape 50/50 mixes and that I cant get with the 36mg. I ended up having to make 70/30 and 60/40 because the nic is in PG and so are my flavorings. My question is, what would be a good mix for base that would make the handling of it safer but still leave room to play around with the PG/VG ratios. 18mg is what I want and most I want to be 50/50 on ratio

I use a 100mg nic base that is 50/50. This allows you to add offsetting quantities of unflavored VG in order to achieve your desired ratio.

If you desired target is 18mg/ml @ 50%PG|50%VG, you could make 21mg/ml @ 42%PG|58%VG

Then when you Add PG based Flavoring and Sweetener, you will come down to about your Target Level.

ETA: I like to call the Slightly Higher mg/ml and VG Mixture "Pre-Mix".

If the flavor % changes then the recipe gets twisted. For simple math I make 100ml batches so that target 6mg/mL = 6 ml in 100ml total solution and 18mg/mL = 18 ml in 100ml solution.

I have recently decided to make my own ejuice. After quite a while reading many threads around here, and a bit of chemistry knowledge, I am confident I can safely do so. I ordered 100mg/mlfor a few reasons. A big one was I found it for the same price as 48, and knew diluting it 50/50 with pg or vg should give me 50mg/ml, and secondly a multiple of 10 seemed easier to work with. I have read that 100mg nicotine has to be diluted, but it seems locical that every .1 ml would be 10 mg, and I can easily measure this. So my question is: if I put .1 ml of this nicotine/pg solution in a 10 ml bottle of juice, it will be 10 mg nicotine content, right? I am currently vaping 24, but am planning on decreasing, and for an initial batch am just aiming for 10 until I test my diy juice. I greatly appreciate any advice.

if you have 100mg/ml nic base and want 10mg end product the ratio would be 1:9 nic base to VG or PG or both ( VG/PG mix)

starting with PG 36 nic base, you want a 50/50 18 nic end product? take 1 part PG nic base and add an equal amount of VG to it ( 5 ml nic base PG + 5 ml VG yields 10 ml 50/50 18 nic)
