I'm not gonna lie, this post is mostly just to vent my frustration. Lately, in 3 separate occasions, with 3 separate vendors, I've experienced this...

After shopping for an item (in this case juice), and not finding a site with it in stock, I finally purchase it thru the first site I find that has it in stock. Only to find out, they DON'T actually have it in stock. One of my purchases was now over 2 weeks ago, and STILL hasn't shipped.

I am just totally against any websites lying about items being "in stock". It's wrong. And I won't be purchasing thru them again. One of the websites has maintained good communication with me, has apologized, and even promised me a free bottle of juice in the future. In which case, I will probably be returning.

Has anyone else experienced this too? Am I being a ....*? Should I be easier on them?

To be clear, what I'm opposed to is stating you have an item in stock, when you don't.

I agree with you.... Vendors should be upfront with you by telling you whether or not they have an item in stock.

Yeah I'd be aggravated. But as a business owner, just to explain, there could be plenty in stock and it go out of stock during your check out if a lot of customers decide to buy at the same time. For example, the vendor has 50 in stock, but 51 check out at the same time... One customer is going to be out of luck until they restock. It's not really the vendors fault, its just business and how supply and demand works. Honestly you could project sales perfectly but online sales can be hard to project accurately all the time.

I wouldn't be so quick to blame this vendor unless its something that happens all the time... And in that case you'd know in their reviews.

Many dealers rely on drop shipping from a distributor, and that distributor may have showed the item in stock when they really didn't have it in stock. Happens way to frequently with computer parts vendors. But it's still the store owners responsibility to make it right by finding the item pronto and providing free expedited shipping or giving you a quick refund (by quick I mean instant). The store owner may have been misled by his distributor, but it is the store owners responsibility to keep a healthy relationship with their customers.

Have you talked to them? and if so, what was their response?

I agree. I would never return to that site again.

You've paid them. You shouldn't have to wait for them to go get the item.

What juice were you looking for?

For one site, it was a couple suicide bunny juices. Another site, it was the unicorn milk. However, I completely understand the delay for the unicorn milk. I found out that they had decided (after I placed my order), to not ship out any unicorn milk til they received the shipment that was the safe, non-milky colored juice.

I guess you might need updated soft ware. One that can count. Don't sell stuff that you don't have?
