I haven't figured out how to best consolidate orders to save on shipping. Have you?

It seems like certain vendors carry certain equipment. If I want something specific, I may be limited to only a few vendors, and further limited by who has stock and who doesn't. AND, when I find a vendor who has what I want in stock, they don't carry the juice I like.

Conversely, it seems like the vendors who have the juices I like don't carry any of the equipment I want.

The result is that when I want to order some cartos, a couple tanks, and some juice - I'm ordering each from 3 different vendors, paying shipping 3 times.

Shipping is relatively cheap - $5 or so. But it adds up.

Along with that, I'm now "registered" with probably 6-8 different vendors (or more) - who all have my CC info - and who like to send lots of email. I know I can opt out of their mailings, but still...

There is a certain vendor who is a sort of "one stop shop" for equipment, but I find their juices... lacking. In addition, several items I've been looking for have been out of stock with them - probably because they moved recently.

Anywho... just thought I would share a little frustration.

That's a common complaint. All vendors have their favorite stocks. They stock what sells from their experience. I have urged a couple of vendors to stock things I order on a regular basis and had some results with getting them to comply. It depends on what is popular. If they get enough people telling them what they want, they will stock it.

I've tried Google searching for the combinations I wanted, but it's kind of futile. Even Google only caches the most popular searches.

I have found that using eGo and AW 18650 IMR batteries and Boge Cartos matches up with quite a number of vendors where I like the juice. Those are the things I order the most. Everyone stocks Boge and almost everyone stocks eGo products.

Now that I've been vaping for a while, I've accumulated 'nuff stuff to last me until the next sale/special/free shipping offer. That's how I mitigate my shipping expenses.

Also a vaping bud and I now try to coordinate and combine our buys for free shipping, especially from Health Cabin. Has worked out great thus far!

But, oh yes, in da beginning I spent more than I'd like to admit on getting 'it' here now!

One suggestion I have is to buy each thing in bulk and spread them out. Like order enough juice from one vendor to last you two months, then the next month buy enough cartomizers or wotsits to last for two months. After you get stocked up a bit you can just alternate your orders and not pay so much in shipping.

I.e. if I buy 50 cartomizers at one go, that lasts me a good 4 months+, and I only pay shipping once for them, rather than buying 10 at a time and paying shipping 5 times. Then if I buy 250-500 mls of nicotine (or juice if you don't DIY) then I'm good for quite a while on that, and only pay shipping once. Etc...

Of course this would be harder if you are still experimenting with hardware and juices, or if you are the type who likes to be always trying something new and shiny.

It's a conspiracy to keep the postal service in business.

Lol, maybe so........we're probably keeping them afloat right now!

I've only been vaping 6 months, and I have an impressive collection of business cards; I don't think there will ever be a one-stop-shop, but I think it's good that there's so many vendors-it's like having a giant mall stuffed into your computer......and you don't have to get dressed (or waste gas)

Best one stop shop for me:

  1. Excellent juices
  2. e-power accessories
  3. eGo Twists and chargers (my next PV and first VV device:) )
  4. Batteries
  5. CE2, CE3, Visions...basically all clearos

I can almost find all of them at one place, the biggest issue is the clearos in one place. It seems that one will carry the CE3, another will carry the CE2 and then one of the two will have the Stardusts... Saving on shipping is what I am all about!

+1 on that statement. :)

I keep a list beside my computer of vaping supplies I would like. I order very few vaping supplies without it being on sale OR when I can order it at a vendor that has what I consider a good price for what I want and is having a sale on something else that I want where I can combine shipping cost.

When I do occasionally need to order something from a vendor without a sale I always look around that vendors supplies to see if there is anything else I am going to need to order in the next few weeks or months and order it then so I dont have the added expense of additional shipping from that vendor a short time later.

I also pay attention to how much can be shipping for the same shipping cost or if ordering one more of something increases that cost and adjust my order quantity accordingly. Same thing with paying attention to how much must be purchased to get free shipping. I'm had times when I was under that free shipping amount but adding shipping cost put me over that amount. If I'm going to be spending those dollars anyways why not spend those shipping dollars on vaping supplies rather then on shipping cost ;)
