I buy from vaping me. I've always had a good experience there.

I believe the quantity limit is a recent addition. Maybe they are waiting on a shipment and just want to help customers limp along.

I've found soaking used T3 heads in 151 proof vodka, refreshes them somewhat. I at times use a delicious but gunkier than normal juice and get maybe half a T3 tank before it clogs. With a soak, I can use it several times.

There's many things that factor into the supply-demand part of the e-cig industry, and they are often not a supplier's fault.

The vast majority of items that we purchase from online vendors come from Chinese manufacturers and distributors. They have their own issues concerning production and parts availability, not to mention their business culture is far different from the rest of the world.

US vendors must estimate how popular a particular device will be to their customers and order an appropriate quantity. Many of these items will be first run products that may have manufacturing defects that may not be discovered until the first ones are put into use. Once word is out that said items have defects, people stop purchasing them and then the vendor is stuck with a warehouse full of inventory that he will never recover his losses. This is just one example.

China just recently celebrated a New Year where all their workers take off work for an extended period of time. Therefore production of products is suspended during this time and distributors have no products to move. Many of those experienced workers do not return to the factory after their New Year and choose to work at other jobs, so new factory workers need to be found and trained, which delays production. Worker retention can be a real issue in China.

So, the Chinese New Year threw a wrench into many US dealer's inventory. Add to that the FDA's deeming regulation that was supposed to occur last month, and many customers were stocking up on supplies in case the FDA decided to ban or limit e-cig equipment.

It can be difficult for vendors to plan ahead for what items will be popular with customers. Buy too much product and it may sit in the warehouse forever, or order too few and they have to post the "notify me" or "out of stock" notice. Some vendors seem to be able to plan better than others; some vendors may have more dependable distributors than others. Vendors may have limitations of the quantity or availabilty of certain items. Shipping across the world can literally take weeks, and delays in shipping from customs can further delay shipments.

As someone mentioned already, the wise customer has a long list of vendors to check for various items that they purchase frequently.

I understand how business works and the supply and demand concept. I am just venting, it has just seemed to be happening to me a lot lately. I have a good list of vendors who I have purchased from and had good results. My main frustration, as I mentioned before, is multiple shipping charges from various orders from different sites on the same day. I mentioned before as well that I am not singleing out any specific vendor. I do have a couple that seem to give me more problems than others. I'm sure no one here enjoys going to different vendors and racking up shipping charges. Please don't take my post the wrong way, it is nothing more than a venting which I am sure others have felt at one time or another.

I feel the same way. When I find one item at a really great price, in stock, they don't even carry the other item I'm interested in. So, I go on to the next. It's frustrating for me because I've always been a one-stop-shopper, and if they don't have what I want, I just do without. This kind of stuff I can't do without!!!

I do agree with you on that one, it is still relatively new in the way it is growing. I started out a couple of years ago with go through many different gas stations and stores to find the right e cig. All most all of them either did not have a good flavor and or did not have a strong nicotine level. I found some tasty ones such as "Fuma" but they only are available in 14 mg at most. They also cost $15 for 5 cartos, which drained the budget. I need around 36 mg to be satisfied, and only one vendor, in one gas station near me, had "Nicmaxx" which come in 36 mg. They satisfied my nicotine demand but tasted pretty bad. I started buying on the internet some time last fall and found this whole other world. It took me a little while to find what I like and I have spent a lot of money in that search. I have just recently in the past couple of months discovered handmade USA juice. I might have seen it before but never realized how much better quality it is. That is all I buy now and I have been getting samples like crazy from different vendors who I have seen in ECF. I am actually vaping a mix of juice now that is a perfect all day vape for me, the best yet. I'm still experimenting with pg/vg ratios that I like, but I am narrowing in on the vendors who make what I believe is the best juice. I have spent a crap load of dough on hardware too, and just recently found the MOD and tank that works perfect for me. It has been a long journey my friend but I am making good progress. I went way off topic, but to tie it all together I will say that I now know exactly what I want to buy and my frustration comes mostly in purchasing hardware. I wish I had the money to start a store around here with a lounge and coffee shop along with a huge diverse inventory. There is only one shop in this half of the state and it is an hour away. Right now opening a brick and mortar with a lounge would end up being a multi million dollar venture.

Many of the vendors sites that I have been to are great sites and I have purchased from multiple vendors. The issue that I have is if an item is very popular and sells quick, why not carry more in stock? I am not going to be specific to vendors or products and this is in no way a bash against any good vendor. There are just specific items that I am looking for that seem to always be out of stock. Often I am looking for various items on a website and want to purchase from one of my regular suppliers. I cannot afford to pay for shipping for several orders so sometimes I purchase from a vendor that is not top of my list because they have all of the supplies I need at the time. This is my solution, and I know that a vendor cannot keep everything in stock at the same time. Just something to consider because if a vendor is consistently out of popular items I have no choice but to go elsewhere. I have honestly checked more than one site for an item and every time I check they are out. My point is simply please stock more of the popular items so that they are available on a basis. I'm speaking of smaller ticket items, not expensive ones that need to be limited for vendor constant efficiency. Some simple examples are; unfilled cartos, certain strengths of popular juices, certain resistance on attys. If I am looking for a specific resistance of atty I really don't want to change that, but it is a common one that everyone wants. Just my thoughts and opinions, I do appreciate the good vendors. In fact I regularly post either positive or negative experiences if they are significant.

What's with the huge text?
Seriously? This is puzzling to you? Have you not heard of supply and demand? When a bunch of people want something (demand) and only a few are made because time, money and other factors (supply).

I assume you're yelling about mods? The high end mods are one, maybe 2 people making them. If you're talking about more common things like eGo batteries, atties, heads and tanks it's, once again, supply and demand. This is a booming industry right now. No one ever thought the PV market would grow so unbelievably fast. China is ramping up capacity. But that doesn't solve everything.

How much do you think an inventory costs? How much would it cost to have a large enough inventory that you never ran out of things?
Remember that at this time vendors are ordering products directly from China. Their quantity is partially determined by how much cash they have in the bank.
Where I see the problem is that there are still no middle men/warehouses that individual vendors order from. It's not like Hostess Cupcakes where a truck pulls up to the store every morning with a fresh supply. Downside is that when that happens to the e-cig industry the prices will go up by 30%.

I'm looking for good prices on Evod and Kanger T3 replacement heads. There's a place I've never heard of called "vaping me" out of Plano, TX. They have both in stock with limits [10 max on Evod and 5 max on T3] but the prices are fantastic. Don't know whether I'll bite, but they'll probably sell out of these items rather quickly. With the limits imposed more folks will have a chance to grab some up, but I really want to buy more than this at one time.

It's a question of how badly I want to give them my money vs. shopping for hours online to find a comparable price that allows the quantity I would like to get. Lots of folks would just buy as many as they can from the 1st place they find the item in stock, but I'm known to be tenacious!
I just bought from them because they had some of the hard to find items such as the head for the Kanger Protank. It should be here tomorrow so I'll let you know.

I'm just talking about simple items like certain atomizers and atty heads and cartos, nothing expensive, the stocking fee would be minimal. Hostess went out of business a couple of months ago so I would not trust their business model for comparison.

Id rather see "notify me" or "out of stock" before I add to cart. I recently was looking for an ego-v v2 and a protank. I was all set to purchase and I noticed the ego was on back order. It took me all night searching for a vendor that had both in stock to avoid double shipping charges. I wound up buying from some shady looking website. The stuff did come in a few days but was poorly packaged (loose in an envelope the battery wasnt even boxed and was the wrong color that I ordered) but everything works. We need a megastore that carries everything. VAPE-MART!

To clarify folks I have 2 Master Degrees and understand the business model well, I have started 2 business and sold them when I could get a nice stack of cash and move on. I always made sure that unless a national disaster occurred, I had a good stock of items that I knew sold well. When I ran a special I ordered plenty so that more people could buy them, and as a result come back as a repeat customers. People would come to me and tell me they liked my store because I kept a good inventory. I'm not saying I stocked up on $10,000 servers. I did stock up on cables, small devices that people always wanted, new items that people wanted. When the others stores were "out of stock" all the time, their customers would come to me, and after being satisfied come back to me not my competitor. After some growing pains our great vendors will improve and until then I will buy items from site to site and pay 2 or 3 shipping costs. So my post was not to learn about capitalism in a free market, I suppose I should have shared my frustration elsewhere. :vapor:

I'm with you there! I have been fortunate to build a list of good vendors, but I research them inside and out before I give them a penny. I do most of my research on here and have found some gems. I just found Mt Baker when I was looking for some stuff and they have ended up being one of the best vendors. The old find it out in the cart sucks because you have all of this stuff and are excited to get it and uh oh 1 or 2 things are sold out. Then the decision; do I just pay the shipping and piece it out or look for a long time and hope to find a site with all of the items. I had that problem recently when I was looking for a specific bridgeless atomizer and some of my favorites did not carry it and others were out. I eventually found one and got my whole order there. Those other sites lost business, but I got what i needed in the end.

just an example, not to pick on what is normaly a good vendor, but today for example I checked madvapes for a bridegless addy. They had three different types but all out of stock. I also wanted replacements for the atomizer head for the kanger pro tank....once again all gone, then the cartridges that I usually get, out of stock. I have not recently found one site that has everything I am looking for at one time. Its not like I am looking for something odd, it is usually popular stuff. So if it is very popular, especially brand new like the Kanger Protank, they should stock more so that they have them available for all of their customers. If they know every month that a certain item always runs out then buy more to keep in stock! I also have a list of many trustable vendors, but I do not want to pay multiple shipping. Very frustrating. I wish I could find one site that is reliable, fast, good service and keeps extra stock of popular items. If you find one tell me. I just had to go to two sites to get a few common things today, neither had all 4 items so double shipping. Plus one vendor lost business to another and vice versa. Sorry this is just very frustrating for me because I purchase something every week atleast.
Madvapes has basically nothing worth buying in stock these days. And they been that way for a while. I switched vendors. I didn't want to, but it had to be done.

I did not want to give them a bad name, but the last time I went there and everything was out of stock again I decided it is a waste of time to even check. It is a shame they seem like they have great potential.
