First off, I'll begin with a little explanation:
I decided I'd go ahead and try the whole ecig thing, and purchased a Health-E-Cigarette from a local smoke shop. Bad idea. The thing was almost worthless. Cart was equal to maybe 5 or 6 cigarettes, and the battery didn't last long at all. (maybe 6-8 hours) I almost gave up when I found V2cigs.com.

V2 had their ultimate kit available for $149.00, which came with 2 regular batteries, 1 shorty, PCC, Passthru, 25 cartos, usb/wall/car chargers, and a nifty little carry case. Decent price, I thought, and decided to go for it. That was on November 19th. A couple days later I wrote an email asking when I could expect to see my order fulfilled, and was informed that they were back-ordered on their menthol cartos, so I had them replace them with peppermint. The order PARTIALLY shipped. It's now December 2nd, and I'm still waiting on my PCC and passthru from them. Apparently they are still back ordered.

I then found, through this site, Vapor4Life.com, and decided to check out their selection. Holy crap. LOTS of different flavors, plus juices, and nifty colored batteries (instead of the plain white or black). I decided to order a sampler pack of the cigarette flavors and the coffee house flavors This morning (12-2-10) at about 8 pacific. I just checked my e-mail and apparently it's been arranged, packaged, and sent out the door to be mailed by usps.

So, my rant for V2 is not having the product offered available for immediate shipping, but the price for the kit was decent.
My rave for vapor4life is the quickness my order was fulfilled and sent out the door. I'll go back to Vapor4life.

Anyone else have experience with either of these companies?

No, but unfortunately I don't think either of those 2 kit you purchased are of very good quality from what I've seen and read and $150 is very steep for a standard e-cig kit even w/ a pcc/ passthrough and such. Could have gotten a lot more for less and better performance within a weeks time through many vendors. ;(
Many of of have done the same and weren't informed. There is so much useful info here @ECF and great people too. It will get better!

Welcome to ECF !!

Your trials and tribulations are very common for those who have not managed to find ECF before making their first purchase(s) to research whats out there and the many opinions and reviews here on the forum. Many of us have done the same thing only to find out that better choices AND PRICES were out there if we'd only managed to find or know about them.

Congratulations on deciding to take the plunge and try vaping for yourself regardless of your choices to start. The important thing to remember is you've granted yourself the opportunity to try...... and THAT price is irreplaceable.

I can't comment on those vendors in particular because I have not used them... but in "MY" beginning I had over spent on inferior products, but still enjoyed them until I found something better...... and then again..... and again, lol.

Enjoy what you have, ask for help here if and when you need it as you progress, and again......... welcome to the world of vaping !!

I sort of did the same thing. Ordered from V2, and then found this forum. My order hadn't shipped, so I cancelled the order. I ordered a starter from Vapor 4 Life. It came in 3 days later. I was happy with it, but then my husband and son were always using my stuff, so I ordered 2 eGo's from Liberty-Flights and some juice from V4L. Both orders came today.
I also looked on the Classified forum and bought a Riva from another member here. It should be here next week.
I like the kit from V4L and plan on that as a backup. I'm in love with the eGo's and can't wait for the Riva. The vapor and battery life will be better with the bigger kits I think.

HI & welcome to ECF
I have not ever heard of V2

But Vapor4Life has a HUGE following !!
And their own sub forum here >> Vapor4Life

Good luck with vaping & if you have ??'s just ask someone will always chime in w/help !

Lots of Great Folks here !

Definitely go to the link that kelley provided.. that's their subforum here on ECF.

Not only will you get your V4L questions answered there, you will be kept up to date of any special deals that they may offer.

V4L was my first and though I moved on to other hardware, I still find that V4L provides stellar service.

LGD tip: their cartomizers match the Kr808/Kr8 model cartomizers.. there is also a 3pc model the 901 where the atomizer and battery are of the same threading. I provide this in case you peruse other areas of this forum and stumble across some of these terms.

Good Luck, and congrats on your discovery

Anyone else have experience with either of these companies?

***Raises hand!*** I placed an order with V2cigs in October (191. for a couples kit thought it was a good price). Same experience you are having....backorder nightmare!!! After finding out that it was certain carts holding up the order (2 weeks later, mind you) I changed flavors just to get it to ship sooner. Received the partial kit (some still on backorder). I started to realize that if this situation continued, and I liked their product I'd be in real trouble. They are a small company who is struggling to keep up with the demand right now. I searched and found this forum, promptly returned their kit and was refunded everything but the carts and shipping. (I have 2 boxes of menthol btw, that I cannot use...PG sensitivities as well as they won't fit on my eGo)
Their backorder situation is still going on so I would suggest either finding another supplier (V4LIFE perhaps as suggested above) or else make sure you get your carts and/or juices elsewhere. I wish you luck whatever you decide.
