I live on the East Coast and I put a large vape order in to a reputable company on the West coast a few weeks back. As soon as the tracking on my order said it left Oakland, Ca sort facility, *poof* it vanished, never to be seen again. I went through the proper channels, the package was insured, and the company recently shipped the replacement. So today I check the tracking info and it left Oakland, Ca sort facility last night and hasn't updated since. I know it usually takes time to update so I'm trying not to jump to conclusions yet, but I do have a kind of bad feeling about it. So I was wondering has that ever happened to anyone here? Where your vapemail seems to keep disappearing from the same company en-route. Let's say it does happen again. How does the vendor usually handle a situation like that? Will they keep replacing the order and just hope that eventually it will get to me?

I'm totally bummed thinking about it

Unlikely to happen twice in a row... it should take a couple of days to go from departing CA to arriving in WV so I wouldn't sweat it till Tuesday. A good vendor would keep sending out replacements if they can file an insurance claim, a crappy vendor might want you to do the paperwork/waiting.

With all the thousands of people (and growing) who lurk here, I am sure there's people who have dealt with that company and read your post, and maybe even had the same experience - with that company. I'd say that's one of the advantages of online forums.

I seriously doubt you will have the same issue twice in a row. Although I can completely understand how you feel! And don't loose hope on the missing order. I had an order once ship to the wrong state, then stop moving for weeks, just poof like yours. It was not insured, I called the post office, they said no longer there problem. Wonderful people! :D Anyway, months went by, I long gave up on it. Can you believe it showed up! You never know?

This has happened to me plenty of times from more than one vendor. Eventually items will show up but it's kind of disheartening when it essentially stops tracking within the system.

Sometimes they've stopped tracking to the point the vendor has sent a replacement only for the lost shipment to show up a day or 2 behind it.

Now I don't panic anymore & just wait.

I load trucks at FedEx ground. We have scanners we were and we are required to scan every package we load. We miss a few here and there. But some idiot kid in a FedEx facility somewhere probably forget to scan it and that's usually where the tracking service stops. They really get on us for missing scans. For some reason scannin a barcode is way to difficult for some of the people they hire.

Wow.. thats every buyers nightmare.. for the parcel to 'arrive' on your doorstep only for it to not be there. I've had many problems here with my regular mailman.. he delivers mail out of sync and I get the neighbours stuff and they get mine.. thing is.. I happily return it to the right letterbox.. but 1 neighbour has not been so accomodating and I've had problems with certain agencies sending mail out to me needing to 'confirm my address'... that neighbour once gave me goods that went to her from fastech.... but I suspect she writes 'not at this address' and shoves it back in the mailbox..... grrrrr I've contacted the postal service but it's like taking on a hopeless situation. My letterbox number is very clearly marked so I guess it's a matter of 'staking' out the letterbox everytime something is due.

Hope things smooth out for you... it's frustrating.

Koala hugs from Australia
