Mailman Stalking With a Twist

I'm waiting on an order from Liberty Flights. I was hoping it was going to be here on New Year's Eve, but there seemed to have been a waylay.

Tracking is interesting. I watched it go from the sorting hub to a town about 45 minutes away. I kept watch all day to watch the fluke. It was out for delivery in the far away town and then sent back to the sort facility and presumably on the right track to my local PO.

Note: East Islip is SO not where I needed it to go.

Pretty common stuff unfortunately. I have sent packages through the mail from my sleeply little town, to a slightly less sleepy town 15 miles to the south, only to have it routed through the big US Mail facility in Portland Oregon, which is about 70 miles to the north.

There is a large reseller that is about 1 mile away from me. This one mile also includes a county line. When he mails stuff, it goes 25 miles south, then about 50 miles north and then back down to me. Nuts !

I agree with Veedubb It is common. I know that the USPS ships to different areas due to weather issues.
