Does anyone else get hiccups while vaping? stress levels were particularly high today (and I checked - NO full moon excuse THIS time!) and I was chain-vaping for all I was worth (if they had been analogs, I prolly would have hit the pack and a half mark JUST AT WORK!), and noticed that this was the second or third time it's happened (I'm not sure if I was hitting the PV as hard the other times)...

Ideas anyone?

Morandir - it's not your imagination (I thought it was MINE too, but time won out!)
@MK - thank you for the info - kind of like the end of an analog - you puff away the last 3 or 4 hits... I think I was doing that (not sure though - will try to get it to happen again, just to test)
and - BTW - WoW are you guys QUICK on the replies! thanks for the fast help (and here I thought I was a lone night-owl!)

Yep..lots of nightowls and then the early birds come on. It also helps that when it's late for me, it's the shank of the evening for the west coasters.

And those of us on the other side of the world !

Never had hiccups from vaping, not even when I've vaped hard & continuously. I wonder if it's in the inhalation technique?

Bingo! When people start vaping, they mimic their smoking inhalation technique. After about a month you begin to equilibrate to vaping INSTEAD of smoking, and it usually decreases to zero. There are two basic ways to inhale during smoking or vaping: 1. Inhale directly into your lungs, or 2. Suck the vapor into your mouth THEN inhale into your lungs. If you find yourself getting hiccups, try taking longer, lighter, slower draws directly into your lungs rather than staging the breath in your mouth prior to inhalation.

I learned this when I was smoking; in instances where I happened to have the hiccups, inhaling smoke would cause an immediate hiccup - I quickly learned to draw lightly and inhale directly vs my normal draw into my mouth prior to actually inhaling technique. Unfortunately, you can't blow smoke rings as well this way though :(

TY for all the info! sadly I have only 18mg juice available ATM... but I WAS able to replicate the effect from yesterday (on purpose this time) and it seems to happen when I'm hitting like the 'final drags' off an analog... 3 or four hits in rapid succession... I find that I have extended the drag time to an average of about 5 seconds or so, tried the "direct into the lungs", and I thought I was gonna burst a lung hacking - just not ready for that yet I suppose... just have to take a few deep breaths when the pucker factor gets high at work (ppl can be such idiots in traffic!)
Oh - think I may have found a new tagline: "If ignorance is bliss, why are there not more happy people around?"

LOL!

Yeah, you have to go real slow and light with the direct inhale. Technically, it should be referred to as the "drag on a joint" method
