I found this wonderful forum because I received a bad battery from a Blu starter kit. I also, just received a replacement battery from Blu free of charge and without a hassle. If you're not ready to jump in to the full vaping experience, but need something to get you started in that direction, I can recommend Blu comfortably. One caveat. The cartomizers they sell are pretty low on nicotine. With that in mind, they produce a decent product. Just my two cents.

I started on Blu too, but it wasn't effective for me to completely kick the cigarettes. Used them about a week and then moved on to a vision spinner with an iclear. That did it for me. I've since gotten a ton of other stuff but I still like the flavor of Blu's Java Jolt. On occasion, I'll put a cart on my spinner and vape away.

For me, there are much better options out there than Blu, but don't get caught up with everyone's opinions. Whatever works for you and gets you off cigarettes is great.

Have noticed that most of the cig-a-like companies are real good about replacing their defective batteries. V2's warranty theirs for life as long as you purchased one of their products, juice, mini tanks, in the last 90 days. Of course a bottle of their e-juice covers the price of their batteries so it's a great ploy to keep one from discovering what vape is really about. But am still grateful to the cig-a-likes for initially getting of smokes and discovering this forum where I learned about all thing Vape.

It is unusual to see a shout out to Blu in these forums. Most folks do not think they are worth the money for what you get. I tend to agree, however, I also see value in them for people that use them to begin the process of quitting smoking. They do have one of the best battery warranties I have ever seen ... now. When I tried them, they gave me such a hard time about a bad battery that it was easier to buy something else that to get the battery replaced. Nice to see they have made the process easier.

Glad to see that Blu are working for you!

Kudos to Blu for making good on the bad battery. I'm glad Blu works for you. Yeah, it's pricey for what you get; however, refills are available everywhere. Convenience and simplicity is definitely worth something. I know a couple of my husband's coworkers used Blu to quit with great success. I didn't care for it (but I was a chain-smoker/now chain vaper), since the batteries couldn't keep up with my puffing, lol.

And--a warm welcome to ECF!

I started my journey with prosmoke, I liked them at first, but got tired of filling the little cartos and changing batteries every couple of hours. I did have a bad battery that they promptly replaced. I have been using an ego 1100mah battery and kanger mt3s for awhile now and am happy with those. Haven't had an analog for about 6 months now after using them for 56 years.

I started on the Blu also....the plan I had was to wear the nicotine patch and vape 0 nic. By the end of the first day I went as fast as my car would take me to Walgreens and got the highest nicotine carts for Blu they had lol. I kept vaping the blu and another set up I got that was similar (510's) along with smoking.....smoke at home, vape when out...then a day came when I said self stop spending on both, choose one....so 14 months later I still chose to vape :) Whatever gets you off the cigs is what counts! ;)

I can safely say Blu is a great starting off point! If I hadn't had the presence of mind to grab one of their tobacco flavored disposables before I went into the hospital for my spine surgery, I wouldn't be where I am today! Now I've graduated to my iTaste SVD with my Protanks!

I'll never knock someone for grabbing one to start with!

I'm a big believer in what works, works. I started with Blu and wanted to like them (they do have a certain "cool" factor don't they?) but the thing to watch with them is this bit:

The cartomizers they sell are pretty low on nicotine.

Yeah. I noticed the disposables are higher (in the 20s) than the cartos (14-16). Which, for me, meant going through more and more and more cartos as I smoked less and vaped more. Until I realized I was headed for spending at least as much--if not more (!)--than I had been on cigs.

But I smoked around 2 PAD so I wasn't exactly a "light" smoker. And I'm a fairly "heavy" vaper. A light smoker, Blu may work just great. I was pulling my hair out trying to keep the batteries charged. :)

Still, they got me started. And it was frustration with Blu that led me to ECF so things worked out. I'll always have a bit of a "soft spot" for them...

Funny, I've talked to more people who went back to smoking after trying a Blu (and similar models) because they performed so inconsistently and poorly in their opinion.
