I just saw this post for the first time now, super cool post man ! This entire forum is made up of the nicest group of people in the world. The staff at ECF has done one amazing job to start,monitor, lead, and continue to grow this forum. It's only going to get bigger and better as time passes and is the cream of the crop of forums for vapers to learn, gather and to help one another among many other things that go on here at the ECF.

I've had an experience here similar to yours. I came in barely knowing the questions I wanted to ask, much less the answers. I couldn't even begin to remember all the kind folks who've helped me along the way here. Thanks to them I've been smoke-free for over a year and a half. The cost of being a supporting member is cheap, cheap, CHEAP!

It seems only fitting that both of you should post back-to-back. When I think of the Glory days of the CE2 I think of you both.

How many Good ideas, and a few crazy ones, come out of those Two CE2 threads that you Now see implemented in cartos today. Man those were Fantastic times.

Things have changed now that Bad is a Supplier. I miss the old days. But it takes Nothing away from what we All got done CE2 wise.

Anyway, Thanks again for all your posts and I wish you both a Great 4th of July.

It's about time for you to show up here, Banjo. Glad you stumbled across this thread.

For the benefit of those who don't know, Banjo was among the small group who received the first shipment of CE2's in the USA. Not only that, but he gave me a box of them for a birthday present. So, I will always be grateful for the way I was introduced to this cartomizer.

Half the people wanted to talk about the Co-Op and Half of the people wanted to talk technical things E2 wise. It was like Republicans and Democrats trying to get something done.

But there was a Silver Lining. Because of the split in the people, this thread was started...

That was what was so funny about it. Everyone at that time thought that e_liquid.con was a regular company selling e-Cig stuff. Nobody knew just how fun it would be to deal with e-liquid.con

I saved some of the broken English e-Mails I got from them and all the Screaming e-Mails I got from Martinez. They are Hysterical that an actual e-Commerce company sent them.

Never thought you were hinting for a B-Day present. But since we didn't have any Cheetos Puff when you arrived I figured it was the least I could do.

It was ironic because the early revisions actually worked great. And with what we know now, Dry Burning - PTB - Enlarging the Cup Seals - etc, I wouldn't mind having some myself.

It was when they started to change them that the battery threads got Smashed, and there was Bat Piss on the wicks and... Well, you know the song and you saw the dance. You were right there in the middle of it also.

Can you believe that after a Year to get the bugs out that MiT is still making Cartomizers that leak? I can see why Bad lost it and told them to shove it today.

BTW - Which cartomizer is the G4? There's been so many different ones recently that I don't know what is what anymore.

A parting shot at Martinez I’m sure.

I hate to say it but I kinda saw the split between Marinez/MiT and gotvapes coming. It seems that there was a cycle with each New MiT product and or revision.

Gotvapes would receive something from Martinez/Mit to evaluate. It would work Good and the Quality was fine so they would post a Preview of it in their sub-forum.

Then the would be buyers and the hype machine would start. Everyone hopes would reach a Fevered pitch as the days ticked by waiting for the big arrival.

On the Big Day the product would be released for sale there would be a Flood of orders. Sometimes selling out the items in a matter of hours. That made Many people mad because they want to get their mitts on it. It also flooded gotvapes with orders to process.

So Bad and Danno would work like Beavers filling orders. Everything should be great at this point with the exception of the people who couldn’t get orders in before they sold out.

Then there would be a lull of 4 or 5 days.

But on about 6th day the Big problems would hit. People would receive and started using their cartos only to find that they leaked or were cracked or whatever. Now you have a bunch of people who waited in line overnight at gotvapes website to get there orders in only to find there was a problem with them.

The negative posts would hit the ECF and Bad and Danno were left scrambling try to sooth members and to figure out What just happened.

What happened was that the Quality of the Cartos that Martinez/MiT sent Bad and Danno for sale were Nowhere near the Quality that were originally sent for testing.

And to make it Worse, gotvapes was granted the “Right” to sell New items Before any other US vendors. A “Reward” so to speak for all the help Bad had given Martinez/MiT/RS and e-Liquid.con in improving the CE2 line. So gotvapes bore the brunt of the Negative posts and the Hostility of members on the ECF for receiving products that didn’t work.

And the attitude of Martinez/MiT was that they didn’t see it as a huge problem because they were the only maker of this type of carto. “We fix it Next time”. But they never did.

And then the cycle would Repeat.

What was a shame to me is that Bad is a Good dude. He REALLY does care about all this. He’s not just some owner who wants to make a buck. He wants to put the best carto in a vapers hand and has work countless hours to do so.

Unfortunately, Martinez/MiT have demonstrated Time and Time and Time again that they are Either unable to Mass Produce a product that meets a decent QQA or they just doesn’t care. Perhaps having no competition in the market was the reason. That or Stupidity and Ineptness. Probably the later.

I think Bad and Danno just got feed up with the BS and the “We fix it Next time” reply from Martinez/MiT. That and getting slamed by negative posts about Carto Quality that they had Little or No Control over. It’s been a year and MiT can’t make a Carto that doesn’t Leak? WTF?

I think Bad and Danno are, in the long run, going to be much better off going Any direction other then the one they were with Martinez/Mit

I agree with both Badkolo and Dannoman being Good People. I also agree that the Cycle needed to be broken.

Remember that the cycle would never have happened if Martinez/MiT had just made a decent product in mass from the begining.

I think if I could fault Bad on one thing that it would be his believe that if a person tells him something, that it is True and that it Will be carried out. Bad is trusting and tends to see the Good in People much more than a Jaded person like myself.

So when Martinez/MiT assured Bad that things would be fixed, he took it as something that they would Actually do. But as we who have dealt with Martinez/MiT know, they were just Empty Promises.

Perhaps Bad stayed with Martinez/MiT too long. But I think he Truly felt if he just gave them “One More Chance” to get their act together that they would. Surely anyone but a Complete Dolt would realize that continuing to Mass Produce Leaking Cartos is a poor business model.

But having so much time invested in the CE2 I can hardly blame Bad that he stayed with Martinez/MiT this long.

BTW - Have a Great 4th of July and watch for Kids and Drunken Adults in the street Wielding Fire.
