Reading the news in the morning just like usual. But just got this: A Spanish guy got the Lipid Pneumonia because of vaping.
According to the news, this issue was in highlight and got highly attention. This Spanish guy has stop tobacco for a long time, and started vaping instead.
Lipid Pneumonia is one kind of lung disease that may caused by excessive smoking. And because of this case, more people may concern that whether vaping can help them to quit smoking or not.
I think, if you're already addicted to nicotine, then vaping could help you to reduce or control the percentage, it's still hard to totally get rid of it.
My coworker is during his hard time quit smoking. And he's always being agitated and keeping a pen in his hand. Not because he need to write, but feel more anxious if not holding anything in this hand.

a lot of the "side effects" of vaping are really problems caused by smoking or quitting smoking. the damage we did to our lungs may never be fully repaired and you may experience side effects of smoking for the rest of your life. when you smoke your putting thousands of chemicals into your body for years and your body adjusts to having them. im in my early 30s when i quit smoking and started vaping i got tons and tons of zits all over my face, chest and back. then they went away totally after about 3 months or so of just vaping. its not a common side effect from quitting smoking, but its also not unheard of. so i was freaked out for a bit when i started getting zits until my doctor said it was most likely from not smoking.

You would have to be inhaling something oil based to even get that disorder from vaping from what I've read about it. VG and PG are not oil based, they are fully water soluble.

The guy went into the hospital with "unknown" and the news article said he developed lipoid (not lipid) pneumonia after he was hospitalized, which in itself makes no sense. 100% of the actual medical facts of this case are completely unknown. This type of pneumonia is exceptionally rare and is usually connected to chronic inhalation or ingestion of actual oils, in addition to other problems - such as chronic acid reflux or GERD or other swallowing problems that contribute to the person actually aspirating the likes of mineral oil. Oh yeah - stuffing Vicks VapoRub or mineral oil up your nostrils to treat dry nasal passages is a really bad idea. Old people with swallowing difficulties taking mineral oil every day for constipation or fire eaters who smear their faces with petroleum jelly as part of their job requirements get lipoid pneumonia - not hundreds of thousands of people who vape.

This is the second time this junk news story has been posted about here in the last few days.

some flavorings are oil based and are not water soluble, and this is why you should always check your e-liquid to see if its water soluble. the test is simple. you need one clean, clear glass cup about an inch of water in it and put like 5-10 drops of e-liquid in it. then mix it for about a minute. hold it up to a light source and look for anything floating on top of the water or anything floating around in the water.
if your e-liquid / flavor IS water soluble you should see NOTHING at all. it should just look like a glass of water.
if you see some spots floating around or on top of the water then it is NOT water soluble.
a lot of crappy vendors are popping up.. all they care about is making a quick dollar. they have done very little research, just enough to toss some nicotine, PG and or VG and flavoring into a bottle and sell it.

Developing pneumonia in hospital is quite common.. or so i was told when i was hospitalized. i was adviced to sit up straight for several hours a days or else there would be risk of pneumonia.

Lipoid pneumonia is not viral or bacterial pneumonia. You can only get lipoid pneumonia by ingesting and aspirating oils like mineral oil or petroleum jelly.
