So I remember reading a post yesterday (Can't find it now...)
That said something about how diabetics should not use the ecig because something in the vapor metabolizes in your body as sugar.
This got me thinking, While this is bad news for our diabetic friends it could be a good thing for anyone with hypoglycemia, Although I don't know if the levels of glucose created are high enough or if it would metabolize fast enough.
And most cases of hypoglycemia are due to complications with Insulin use, Which again wouldn't help our diabetic friends.

Anyway, Odds are this wouldn't work but it was just a thought.

In hypoglecemia, the higher your blood sugar, the more insulin your body makes to lower it. So higher blood sugar doesn't really help. When you get higher blood sugar and more insulin, your body just stores more of it as fat instead of using it for energy. So even though my fasting blod sugar is twice what it used to be, I still have no energy and am packing on weight like a bear before hibernation without even eating more. It sucks. I am even wondering if having it doubled is because the high sugar levels are wearing out my overactive insulin pump and are going to end up making me diabetic.

psst...boo boo...low carb will help keep your blood sugar stable :) No dips or crashes.

yeah. I gotta go there next :( Considering all's I eat is bread, potatoes, soups, mac & cheese, and Dr. Pepper, I'm going to be in a world of hurt. But I got the new Atkins book coming cuz I need some kind of guide to get myself to follow the rules......ugh.

I posted this in another thread, but it's the nicotine that affects blood sugar:

"From what I've read, nicotine inhibits the release of insulin and can leave a smoker slightly hyperglycemic (more sugar in the blood than normal). High blood sugar can also act as an appetite suppressant, which is why some smokers think smoking reduces appetite. If you google nicotine and blood sugar or nicotine and insulin you should get a lot of hits if you want to research."

As a diabetic I've not had any blood sugar issues vaping. And actually it should help with circulation and a host of other issues being off the analogs. So I'm still using the nicotine but at least I'm not smoking and hope to be on the 0 nic juice in a few months.
