A lil' update. I've bought a few more mods and a few more carto tanks... Oh, and a few more cartomizers. I've determined that it is the Cartos that I'm not very find of. The difference between a carto and my Sophias By Leo is huuuuge. The cartos work ok for 24 hours/ around 3mls of juice then Peter out pretty quick. I may buy a Diver V2 to try out in my Zen but until then it's gonna be a $200 paperweight. YMMV!

Sent from a tiny keyboard using Tapatypo.

A 45mm diver v2 will work but it may be slightly taller than the glass, leaving a 1-2mm gap. I had an o-ring that filled the space and it worked fine. I have a 35mm enzalis but have never tried it with the short glass b/c it's been permanently in my billet box.

Huh. What kind of juice are you using in your cartos? Man mine last for days and days. And I vape like a monkey eating Cheetos. Do you flood them often? That'll kill them off quick. I love cartos. The flavor from them is always different than my genesis style, drippers etc. I mean those rock and I love them, but I do love cartos also.

I've been vaping mostly Orb 100% VG but it's really watery and thin. Last few bottles I've bought don't have their ingredients/percentages listed. They makers are Suicide Bunny, Stormy's, Blast & maybe a couple more.
As far as flooding, It's been at least two months since I've used the tank portion of my C2 and probably a month and a half since I've used any part of it. Flooding seemed to be an issue either/or. With the complete C2 I had many leaks that stained the bejesus out of shirt/pants pockets. I've also tried some cartos in IBTanked tanks running on a Super-T Simplicity and while I had no flooding or leaking, the vapor was unsatisfactory after 3mls Max. Then I have to throw away a nice little stainless steel tube (which, IMO, should not be disposable) and around a ml of juice.
With the Sophia the flavor and vapor are leaps and bounds better in any case. When it performs questionably (at least 6ml of juice) all I have to do is pull out the little cotton wick, dry burn the gunk off the coil, roll a wick, thread it, cut it, saturate the wick, put the tank on (which I can keep full during the whole process) and have a fresh, perfect vape. It takes less time than priming a carto and the waste is only a tiny piece of a cotton ball and eventually a coil (cost ~ 25 cents max).
I should also mention that I'm definitely the kind of guy that it really suits to tinker, modify, and fine tune stuff and rebuild coils and what not. I actually bought the Z2 C2 because I thought I wanted to avoid all of that. Turns out I enjoy it!

Huh. Really odd about the leaking and taste. I just don't know what to tell you. Cartos are just danged easy. Mine never leaks. When I'm out and about I usually have a carto and/or a kayfun because they just never leak. And I dig the "tinker" thing. I'm the same way. Love to build, tear down and rebuild. Do it for fun. But for simple, cartos are just punch, prime, insert, fill and go. Maybe you've got a bad oring in your Z2 Carto? I swear mine has never leaked anywhere. And yeah, cotton and a coil is danged easy. I went back to silica for the most part. Just something about the flavor that I like better than cotton. But then taste is subjective. We all like what we like. I still dig 400 mesh and 32 gauge in a genesis with the right juice. Try changing the orings in the carto hybrid and see if it makes a difference unless you've given up on it. In that case sell that sucker. I mean if you're not using it (or just don't like it) might as well get your cash back and grab something you'll enjoy! That's what vaping is about! :)
